Schengen Visa - Spain - Portugal

Hi there,

I have recently got the Schengen Visa from the Spanish Embassy (single entry, valid until 23Spe2012). I will be travelling to Spain from 25Aug2012 to 31Aug 2012.

However, I’m intending to travel to Portugal from 28Sep2012 onwards, therefore I need to apply for another Schengen visa. Can I apply for the Portuguese Schengen Visa after I return from Spain (after 31Aug2012) although I will have an active Schengen visa (as the Spanish Schengen is valid until 23Sep)?

Since you are applying for a visa where the foreseen validity should start after the old visa expires, you can already apply for the visa now.

In all cases you should check if you need an appointment for the application, as otherwise things might get a bit tight between your travels.
