Schengen Visa ???

Hello.

I have a family member who wasn't granted a visa for the UK. She was however given a visa for France and is in France right now on a schengen visa.

Question:

Can she use the schengen visa to travel from France to London ?

Are you an EEA citizen in the UK? Does your "family member" meet the EU definition of "family member" (i.e. is it a parent, child or spouse)? Every other family member is an "extended family member" and different rules apply.

No. Schengen visas can not be used for travel to the UK. The UK is outside the Schengen Zone.

The family member doesn't meet the requirement. She is from Zimbabwe. Thank you so much for your help.

Remember that if you are a British citizen or an EEA citizen, you can always pop down to France or any other Schengen country to meet your family member.
