School admission for dependents

Hello, I am on tier1 visa, currently in UK. I have a kid who is completing 10th standard in India. I am planning to bring him to UK as a dependent. He will be completing 16 years by June 2010. Can he be admitted into 6th form college (Year 12 as per UK standards)? Could any one please advise me on where my son fits into the UK school system? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
