Scope for Oracle PL/SQL /UNIX Shell scripting in UK?

Dear all,

I am looking forward to applying for a Tier 1 General VISA. I want to know about the current trend on the job market; whether or not there are opportunities for Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and Unix Shell scripting skillset.

I have 4+ years exp in the above said area and have been working for a top UK bank for the past 3 years now. I have also worked in UK and Ireland for about a couple of years continually.

Would be very grateful if someone could spare some moments to advise me please.

To judge the market, best way would be start applying for UK job, mentioning that you have Tier1 in hand or plan to apply for Tier1.

You can yourself judge by kind of reponses you will get.
