IHS reimbursement

Dear all, I would be grateful if you could advise on how to request a reimbursement of an IHS that has been paid twice. I have paid 3 years IHS for a Tier 2 visa and after 1 year I switched to GTV and paid for 2 years coinciding with the last two years of my previous Tier 2 visa. Overall, I paid 2 y...

You need to apply for it separately.

Only tier 2 visas are issued with NI numbers on.
Hi CR001,

I used to have the NI in my Tier 2 BRP, however, after switching to GTV, it does not appear in the GTV BRP! Am I expected to apply for it?

Re: Police registration after switching from T2 to GTV

Your registration certificate will have to be updated with the information about your new BRP. This is not a new registration and is free (unless you lost your original certificate). Hi nikuss, Thanks for your reply. Does it mean that I need to log in the same account through which I did the initia...

Police registration after switching from T2 to GTV

Dear all, I have just switched from Tier 2 General Visa to Global Talent Visa. In the email that I received from the Home Office saying that my application of the GTV was successful, I was asked to register in the Police again! I have registered in the police on the 6th of January 2020 (i.e., just a...

GTV required documents

Dear all,

Please, do we need to add any additional document on top of the documents mentioned in the checklist to be considered as supporting documents for our GTV application?

Re: Global Talent BRP error (earlier expiry) and dependants visa application duration

Respected Moderators and Members, Recently I have been granted global talent visa stage 2 approval with expiry date of 11 Sept, 2025 while the expiry date on BRP is 31 December, 2024. I have applied from within UK. I have seen the post of one group member mentioning the reason that the 31st Decembe...

You need a valid visa on the date you apply for ILR. The 28 days early concession applies to all visa categories.
That sounds positive. I will go head then.

Thanks again CR001.

You can apply for ilr within 28 days before the 3rd anniversary (provided your endorsement meets the criteria for 3 years ILR) of the tier 2 general visa issue date.
Even if the GTV expires on the 30th of September 2022 (i.e., before the 3rd anniversary by less than 28 days)?

Re: GTV visa queries

Any of them, depends at what point the case worker starts working on your application at the time, which is after biomterics. CR001, I appreciate your reply. Let's consider I will get a decision on a 2 years GTV on the 1st of October 2020 which will expire by the 30th of September 2022. Would I be ...

Re: GTV visa queries

Option ii refers specifically for ilr and not GTV visa. Yes indeed. All the three options (i, ii, iii) are for the ILR. I am trying to figure out which of the three options can be beneficial to me as an applicant for the ILR if we assume that my GTV will end on the 1st of October 2022 (keeping in m...

Re: GTV visa queries

• When would be the starting date of the Global Talent visa, the application date or the decision date? Decision date. • How many extra days does the home office give to the applicant on top of the number of years requested in his/her application? Likely only for the period you have applied for. Th...

GTV visa queries

Dear all, I have decided to apply for 2 years Global Talent visa before the beginning of October to avoid the IHS increase. At the same time, I am trying to get, at the end of the 2 years Global Talent visa, 3 years combined with my current visa (Tier 2) so that I would be able to apply for the inde...

Re: IHS reference for an overlapped period

You need a new IHS number, which you get when you pay the IHS for your new application you are making. Trying to use a previous number will simply delay your application. CR001, thanks for your prompt reply. I guess you have understood the reason behind trying this. I have also asked the HO about t...

IHS reference for an overlapped period

Dear all,

Can we use the same IHS reference for an application where we have an overlapped period when switching from Tier 2 to the Global Talent Visa?

I have tried it and it seems that the website does not prevent it!

In such a situation, can we risk rejection?

Re: Stage 2 Timeline

Not yet. I am just asking about whether submitting my biometrics or using IDV App would be straight forward or I should wait for these two options! After you submit your stage 2 application you will have to wait for an email from UKVCAS that will tell you if you have been put in reuse category (whe...

Re: Stage 2 Timeline

Thanks. I thinking about applying for the stage 2 (my endorsement was a fast track route under UKRI) and I am bit concerned about the times it would take since I would not be able to travel while having an application pending. Would being eligible for the biometrics reused would accelerate the proc...
