Re: Change of address after ceremony confirmation

I might be wrong and this is my own opinion. I do not see the problem. Take the documents you need with you as per invitation. You don't have to live in the same council and it's reasonable that your address might change as it has. Just go and enjoy the ceremony after your long hard journey.

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

I never received an invitation letter from HO, just the approval via email when I requested an update, so I think you are right. Councils could be tasked with figuring out how to manage ceremonies, so best to contact them should one receive a letter. It is good that things have started up again and...

I discussed this with my Council. You have to receive a separate invitation letter from the Home Office to attend the ceremony, it cannot be sent by the Council.
Yep, that's what I expected and will contact them.

Re: Travel while citizenship application is being processed

Thanks for the reply. I came across this immigration rule on the government website: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-part-1-leave-to-enter-or-stay-in-the-uk#pt1withdrawn Initially I thought that it says that I won't be able to travel, but perhaps my mistake is that th...

Travel while citizenship application is being processed

Hi everyone. I've been on ILR as a non-EU citizen for almost a year now, and it's time to start my citizenship application. My question is about whether you can travel outside the UK while your citizenship application is being processed (taking up to 6 months but occasionally more) I'm planning the ...

How to get a receipt/invoice for Tier 2 to ILR (SET(O))

I've just been granted my ILR (finally!!) and wonder how I can get a receipt or invoice so I can make an expense claim with my employer (they refund immigration costs). Is there an email address to make a request?
Thanks in advance.

Re: New Appointment Centre UKVCAS

I'm ready to upload my documents. I'm applying SET(O) from Tier 2 General.
What pages from passports need to be scanned? I have had 3 passports since I arrived in the UK, so that's a lot of pages  .

ILR application question about travel history: tourist visa refused

I had a tourist visa refused for Australia some years ago. In the ILR application, there is a question about whether you've been refused a visa for any country other than the UK and to provide details. I have a reference number for the application. My question is, does this count as the type of "imm...

Once you get your ILR, you will have to apply for Tier 2(General) extension based on your ILR status.
Please explain this? Once you get ILR you don't need Tier2 any more

Re: When did you first Enter the UK ?

Apologies that this isn't an answer, but I also found that first question confusing. The wording says: When did you first enter the UK? (Required) This is the date you entered the UK when the period of stay you are basing this application on started. However, when you first entered is not the same a...

Re: Waiting times for appointments for same day (premium)

Thanks for your reply. I guess I may have mistyped what I was actually asking. My question is more, if I make an application today online, will I be able to find an appointment soon, or is it more likely there's a long wait until an available date?
