Hi, Have received my citizenship granted letter, so now time to apply for the ceremony. I have a trip coming up in early Dec, so don't think I'll have my UK passport by then. Currently have NZ. Should I hold off applying for citizenship until after I get back in early Jan? Letter was dated 23 Oct, ...

Passport application - divorced parents

I'm filling out the passport application now as a naturalised citizen. It asks for parents details, including marriage date, if they were married. Parents divorced years ago, and both have since remarried. Is there any point putting in the marriage date?

Could you please confirm when they issue the biometric letter after application submission. Secondly if y...

Re: Naturalisation application processing timelines (only)

thanks but its been more than 10 days; others have got their letters soon after the acknowledgement letter. Is there any member who is in the same situation? Thanks I'm not in the same situations, but others have been and what happens is they send you a letter after a few more weeks telling you tha...

Re: Naturalisation application processing timelines (only)

Possibly, but they don't appear to be going strictly in order. Some folks on here who applied in March have theirs completed already, while quite a few from January and February are still waiting. Similarly, I'm still waiting for my payment to be taken (HO received on 3 June) while quite a few peop...

Re: April 2015 Naturalization application Timeline ONLY

One thing I've noticed is that the people in the first week of April didn't have to wait long to get their fee taken - just over a couple weeks. That time has been increasing, with the late April people having to wait about a month. I guess that's just down to the number of applications and the bac...

Re: April 2015 Naturalization application Timeline ONLY

Getting new referee page signed is not an option at this late stage. I used latest form this month. The fact they reissued it in the last week is not my problem. They didn't even bother incrementing the document version. So the form you are using is still dated sometime 2015 (March 2015, but versio...

Applying when already a dual citizen?

Hi, My partner is already a citizen of 2 countries, and now applying for UK. The UK Form AN only has room for one citizenship to be listed (Question 1.9 on page 3). We are going to supply passports for both existing citizenships, but not sure how/where to declare the second citizenship in writing? I...

Re: March 2015 AN Form errors

Honestly I don't know, you are using the current March 2015 AN form? I'd expect it would still be valid for a little bit after April 5, just like the old 2014 form was valid for 2 weeks after March 2015 AN came out. Plus, I've got no idea if they will actually fix the mistake before April 5 or not, ...

HMRC Self-Assessment Statement of Account

I contacted UKVI today for a few Form AN / naturalisation matters (btw, only on hold for 2-3 minutes before someone answered), and clarified with them that company directors are treated as self-employed by UKVI ("because you pay yourself" was the reason given) and so would need a Self-Assessment Sta...

Re: March 2015 AN Form errors

Contacted UKVI, they agreed it was an error and will follow up on it. They advised this form is valid until at least 6 April, at which point to check for a new form. So I'm holding off doing anything else until post 6 April as my NCS appointment is late April.

Re: Self employed, citizenship app. is SA302 HMRC form neede

For what it's worth, I've received 3 different types of documents from HMRC on the 3 different times I called asking for a self assessment statement of account. March 2015 AN - BRP requirement and NCS

Hi, Reading through Form AM version 04/15, section 6 is new, and about Biometric enrolment. Question 6.7 asks if the BRP is enclosed or not. If I am submitting via NCS, do I put no? Or do I have to submit my BRP? The main point of using NCS for me was the ability to keep my passport and BRP so can c...

March 2015 AN Form errors

Hi, Page 16 of thew new Form AN. Question 3.10 is Yes/No, but there is no question in the form. In the 2014 version of the form, the question is: 'Have you received any cautions (simple or conditional), warnings or reprimands in the UK or any other country? So... the question is missing, does that m...
