Re: EEA4 application time

The 5 year period is counted from the wedding date/arrival to the UK (whatever happened later). The 5 year RC simply confirms the right of residence via EEA route and its date of issue is irrelevant.

Re: Wife's Visa Refused because im also British

I am no expert on renouncing British citizenship to use EEA route, but this thread looks relevant:

Re: What after 5 year British Residence Card...?

Maybe you can pass as self-sufficient during those 7 months? For that you had to hold CSI (comprehensive sickness insurance) while self sufficient. I believe that you are required to hold CSI during the time as a student as well.

Re: EEA 2 or British Citizenship

If your baby has your EEA nationality and the passport, you do not need any residence cards for her/him. If the baby only has a non-EEA nationality, you might have to get a 5-year residence card via EEA2 in order to facilitate travel. When you obtain your PR status after exercising EU Treaty rights ...

Re: where to go next after EEA4?

Your list of documents sounds good. I think you don't have to send your proof of employment but it cannot harm as an additional proof of continuous residence.

Re: What after 5 year British Residence Card...?

Actually, after 5 years under EEA rules she can apply for Permanent Residence Card by filling in the EEA4 form. She does not absolutely have to obtain the PR card as the PR status is obtained automatically under EEA rules, but she still might want to do it to facilitate travel and work. 1 year after...

Re: where to go next after EEA4?

Well, you will have to send the documents that you would have sent for the EEA4 previously. There is a section in the application for British Citizenship that covers this -- they basically ask you what you and your EEA sponsor have been doing in the previous 6 years.

Re: where to go next after EEA4?

You can apply straight for British Citizenship (after 6 years in the UK if your wife has been continuously exercising EU treaty rights during that period ) without applying for PR card via EEA4. However you will have to prove that you have acquired PR status at least 12 months prior to your BC appli...

Re: help needed - baby's passport application

If your baby was born before you received your naturalisation certificate, then you need to prove that you were holding ILR/PR at the time of baby's birth. In any case, you can send a joint family passport application where relevant documents are shared among applicants.

Re: non eea British citizenship??

See https://www.gov.uk/becoming-a-british-c ... sh-citizen
There is no condition to be free from immigration time restrictions for at least 12 months (like for those whose are not British spouses), which means that you can apply as soon as you obtain your PR status.

Re: EEA Family Permit for NZ mother supported by Irish wife

@pieface I am afraid you won't be able to use the EEA route to bring your mother to the UK due to the law change in July 2012 -- since then dual EEA/British nationals are treated as solely British. Please somebody correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks If you obtained your 5 year residence card before July 2012, then you will profit from transitional arrangements for the family members of dual EEA/British nationals and the residence status of the non-EEA national will...

Re: British Passport application processing timelines (only)

I got email from HM that "A letter to arrange an interview appointment has been posted to your home address". Does anybody know, how long it takes? It took 2 days in my case. If you are in a hurry to make an interview appointment, you don't have to wait for the letter to arrive -- just call the gen...

Re: Dual citizenship: British/Italian for EEA FP. Advice ple

Since July 2012 dual British/other EEA nationals are treated as solely British. This means that you cannot rely on your husband's Italian citizenship to use the EEA route into the UK (unless, to my understanding, you already held an EEA family permit before the rules changed). So unless your husband...

Re: British Passport application processing timelines (only)

Does anyone have a direct number of the Liverpool passport office? I applied for the first passports (1 adult, 2 children) 4 weeks ago and neither have received an interview appointment letter nor got our documents back. Or should I rather try the 0300 number? Many thanks.
