Naturalised, waiting for a passport, what admin changes do I have to do?

So yeah, the long journey is over, many thanks to everyone here, as I have spent hours reading up on this and getting ready. I have had my ceremony and received my certificate, and I have applied for my first British passport. Once I have it, whom do I all have to update regarding this? Presumably t...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

Stockport council. Approved on 7th of July. Letter dated as 06/10/2020. I received it today, 05/11/2020. Letter says I should book within 21 days of the date on the letter. Which was never possible, because I only got the letter today. Called the council to clarify, because the ceremonies are suspen...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

Stockport council. Approved 7th of July. Never got any letter, and my council does not have my certificate. Today the council has informed me that ceremonies are suspended again. Oh well. At this rate my 6 months will expire, and I will absolutely not be surprised if I lose my citizenship because th...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

Stockport council. My partner and I were approved on 7th of July, and have had nothing but radio silence since then :\ The phone number of the register office is always ringing, with no one picking up the phone. We're slowly running out of time to book the ceremony, and by all calculations on here, ...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

Stockport council Approved 03/07/2020. Applied before lockdown in March (late February, I think) To this date I have received no letter, and my council has no "paperwork from the Home Office". It's now almost 3 months since my approval, and I fear another lockdown coming. If anyone else is awaiting ...

Re: Blue registration certificate is doing my Croatian head in

Thank you for the reply! The purple route is nonsense for me because it's made for people who aren't exempt (which isn't me), plus I would need a sponsor or whatnot. Blue route is much easier, even if not compulsory in any way. I never needed it, hence never applying for it (I registered everywhere ...

Re: Blue registration certificate is doing my Croatian head in

Just bumping this one as I'm still interested in an opinion, but I understand it's a bit of a minefield and there aren't that many Croatians in the UK anyway, so these questions don't really pop up :)

Blue registration certificate is doing my Croatian head in

Hi everyone! First things first, thanks to you all for your relentless support you're showing everyone here! I've moved to Manchester in January 2014, and am married to a German citizen. When I was applying for a National Insurance number all I needed as a proof of right to work (being exempt from a...

Croatia and EEA issues

Hello everyone! First off, many thanks to all the people willing to reply to the onslaught of questions from us immigrants. Now to get to the point: I am a Croatian citizen, married to a German citizen, and we are currently living in Iceland (we also married in Iceland in 2012). We are moving to Man...
