Re: Proof of living in the UK

Should we send maybe 3/4 documents throughout the year? or 1 will suffice? I think we will add the Self Assessment statements just in case.

Re: Proof of living in the UK

You can use council tax or letters from other government agencies (eg DVLA, electoral register, HMRC). Tax assessments are not proof of residence, and I doubt letters from clients would be accepted. In the application process, they are requesting these documents "If you are an EEA National , you ne...

Proof of living in the UK

Hello Everyone, -If a person (EU National with Settled Status) is self employed and have been since 2014, can they use their Self Assessment Statements (yearly) as proof of living in the UK for the qualifying period? -Should they ask their clients for letters to confirm that? (if it is really needed...

Do you need a visa on your niece's other passport to go to the UK?
No, She doesn’t need a visa to travel to UK or Europe with her other passport. She’ll be travelling with her mother who is also settled in the UK.

Re: Royal Mail Returned my passport to HM Passport Office!!

Updates: So I have contacted HM Passports Office on Monday, and the passport has been returned indeed, they were gonna arrange a redelivery. 5 days have passed and no messages whatsoever, so I decided to call again but this time the agent couldn’t find any information. We have a trip booked for the ...

Re: Royal Mail Returned my passport to HM Passport Office!!

If they had returned it to sender, then I think they acted too quickly . We’ll hold items for 18 days. If they’re not redelivered or collected in that time, we’ll return them to the sender. Recheck with Royal Mail again? Yes, That’s insane, as they first tried to deliver it on the 15th. Then on the...

Royal Mail Returned my passport to HM Passport Office!!

Hello Everyone, We applied for my niece’s British Passport renew. It’s the first time renewing her passport. Everything was going ok, application was approved and documents were returned. They’ve returned the expired passport by TNT and the new one by Royal Mail. Royal Mail tried to deliver the pass...

Re: Traveling with old BRC.

Assuming you mean "only BRC" = "passport and BRC". Yes, no issues there. She doesn't even need the letter; her status is linked to the old document (if she applied with her old BRC using the app, etc. producing the old BRC will show she has settled status). Even after replacing my old BRC with the ...

Traveling with old BRC.

Hi Everyone, My sister is a non-eu and has permanent residence in UK since 2016, her BRC with permanent status expires in 2026. In 2020 she applied and was granted Settled status but she never applied to change her BRC to the new Settlement scheme version. Her daughter’s birthday is now in July and ...

Hi everyone, If a person is self-employed receiving Universal credit and uses his car for business purposes, can he declare the leasing amount as an expense? Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Are you guys receiving decisions by letter or email? I got confused as I’ve seen “decision letter received” on the timelines topic, but I’ve seen people reporting they’ve received an email. So I don’t know what to expect. This waiting is killing me 😩

Re: CCJ notice while ILR Application in process

What I understood from your post is that someone made a claim against you, this letter probably gives you a few options to negotiate, if you can negotiate to pay the debt within 6 months the CCJ will not be issued, but make sure you respond to the claim, do not neglect it.

Please do clarify it as it was specifically asked for.
It was among the document list but not under the "Mandatory document" list. I have clarified it on the cover letter anyway as I thought I should.

Thanks for your answer.

Re: Financial Requirement

So I am about to finish the cover letter, would it be important to add that the past two years Council Tax bills have been issued only in the name of my partner as I am a full time student?

Thanks.
