2 copies required for OCI application?

I am trying to apply for OCI for my wife. Are we still required to send two copies of application and proofs ? The info here http://hcilondon.in/oci.php doesnt mention anything about two copies... I sent two when I applied in Jan. Can anyone confirm please ?

Right, it so happens, I have been holding onto the wrong reference number and searching for it everyday. I used https://passport.gov.in/oci/OnlineOCIenquiryFileNo.jsp
to get the correct one.. and I have been granted OCI , and it has reached London on 7th march !!!! off I go to london !

Same here, but applied on 22nd Feb 2011, still havent received an acknowledgement from HCI london. It does say on the website that it can take upto 20-30 days for postal applications.

One of those lucky days I believe... I called up Home office and got through the first try itself... FLR has been granted and i will get back my passport next week. not bad huh... not possible...

even though they have branches, they dont open accounts that can be operated in UK. To open an UK account, we need address proofs.,or atleast an UK visa and proof we landed here. HSBC is a the most linient expecting only a reference letter from the company.
