She is a Phd student in the local university and has been living in the UK for over 10 years.

She is planning to be applying for a permanent residence card at some point - But I am in no position to push her for that anymore

NI number does not proof that somebody is allowed to work . according to eu law non eu family members have the same right as eu citizen. if they are exercising treaty rights and its complex for employers to confirm eu citizen is exercisting treaty rights and confirmation of status of non eu citizen ...

I have seen it, and yes thank you for that.

It just didn't tell me anything about my ability to work? If the FP is just an entry visa, then it should not be a factor for my eligibility to work as well? Am i right about this?

My wife resides here not as a student. She lives in the UK for more then 8 years now and she have been studying from high school and now she is a student. She have never applied for EEA3 because no facility have required it and the university have accepted her for second year now with no problems ...
