Re: Switch fp to m for ilr

Than you for your reply. I thought as much.

It's incredibly frustrating as my husband originally entered the UK in 2011 and was granted flr (fp) last year, which means if we stick to thia route he won't be granted ilr until 2024. :x

Re: British wife, turkish husband, family visit visa refused

You could apply for a different visa, say work in which he can then contribute to the income requirement for the spouse visa. SS is where you move to another eu country for 6ish months, in which you would live together and you would need to work a min of 12 hours. He would also be able to work. Even...

Re: Spouse Visa Expired - Can my partner reapply for a 2nd t

Yes. But the eligibility requirements are very different and more stringent thank last time.

Provided you meet them a 2.5 year visa will be granted, after which you will need to apply for another 2.5 year extension. After these 5 years she will then be able to apply for ilr.

Re: Advise please FLR fp

One of the eligibility requirements for flr(fp) is that you have a British child, they don't consider a foetus to be a child, thus hopefully your solicitor had shown " there are serious reasons you and your partner can’t live together as a couple in another country" Otherwise like asadzareef said th...

Re: Advise please FLR fp

I know people also granted DLR, but the rules for granting a visa for DLR are different to flr. I would be interested to know the outcome but whilst DLR may be granted I'm doubtful that flr will be.

Re: Advise please FLR fp

It might have been better to wait a little while, your case might be strong but they won't take a child's rights into account until after birth.
