I think you can ask for scans as they will keep records of them for certain period and get letter from hospital. We did not attach any bills just scans with letters, blood results and discharge letter from doctor.You may be able to get these documents from relevant people.

We have applied for British passport for our child (born in June 2015 in India) on 18th Sept. Fees deducted on 24th Sept. On the same got email from liverpool passport office to confirm address details for father, mother and child.
