Email the Swiss embassy in the UK to find out. I have used this email in the past to contact for information rcclondonvisa@eda.admin.ch

Never ever courier your passport from one country to another country. You will have to apply in person.

Many European countries still encourage recruiting skilled workers from outside Europe. Generally its 2 weeks, in rare cases 3 weeks. it is worth calling VFS and telling them your situation, chances could be that embassy are expecting additional documentation from you. Unfortunately you cannot change your visa in the UK and you will have to go to India for entry clearance. Established staff is not at all related to you so take that off your head. Thanks yk910 What salary requirement from 2018 mate ? Sorry, what i meant was if your wife manages to change to T2 general within this year then she will be eligible to apply ILR in 5 years time which would be roughly be around mid/late 2019, so to be on a safer side its worth reading the rules/req...

on point 4, does the cool off period apply. in case its applied does the applicant need to serve cool off period from home country or working in UK under depenedant visa for one year would qualify for cool off period. I am not really sure about this, will need advise from topic experts on this one.

The only problem (for us) is that the website states the visa processing time to be 12 weeks and that's quite a long wait which we were trying to avoid. looking at thing...
