British born kids becomes British national if one of their parents is settled (ILR) before they reach the age of 18. So she needs to be registered as British national. No naturalisation is required for her. Not quite right. British born children are british citizens if at the time of birth one of ...

Re: Naturalisation application processing timelines (only)

It would have been good to submit you're HMRC documents with the rest of the application. Having said that there have been cases where UKVI request additional documents during the application processing stages.

Re: Disgraceful Australia Paying People smuggler

Wow, reading the article i have no two thoughts about what this whole facade is about, it is very clear when the "Australian Navy" pays out money to human traffickers to take people back to their miserable homes, they don't want to deal with immigration and the asylum laws to begin with. I ...

Re: MN1 (registration) application processing timelines (onl

It seems to be taking 4 months to get the certificate back these days. I applied 12th June. In the same situation as you. Urge to be patient and wait until the official 6 months, as quoted by HO, have passed. If your kid has the current dependent visa against your work visa, try using that for ...

Re: Travel outside UK while MN1 is under processing?

Thanks for such a detailed response Asad. I'll make sure that we keep the birth certificate with us. I've got the same employer as i had when i was on T2, so i'll keep company letters with me as well. The T2 Dep/BRP's written validity is until 2016, but i take your point that T1 and T2 are different ...

Re: Travel outside UK while MN1 is under processing?

Hi Amit and Asad, I'm in a similar situation. My wife and daughter had Tier 2 dependent visa on their original non-UK passports. In May 2014 me and the wife got our ILR. Then early June, I submitted my daughter's MN1 application. She has a valid (the term 'valid' is debatle!?) Tier 2 dependent visa ...
