Re: Dementia and stroke

Thanks for your reply. Yes, we used the KOLl waiver form which you linked above. This is filled in by the GP and we also got a separate letter from the GP about the diagnoses and how this affects. The GP kept the form and letter to minimum which I thought is fine, if the Home Office comes back I can ...

Re: Dementia and stroke

Hi Many thanks for the above links I have got a letter drafted from the GP which mentions the diagnoses and how it affects the applicant generally without going into much detail. I’m hoping this is sufficient, if not Home Office can contact the GP directly. A question I had is whether the applicant s ...

Re: Dementia and stroke

Hi I’m getting the letter drafted from the GP. We have requested to add the persons diagnosis and how this affects them. One question I have is whether I should ask the GP to specifically write that the applicant is of sound mind or just leave it at the diagnosis. Please can I have your thoughts on t ...

Re: Small gap in lawful residency

Re: Dementia and stroke

Thank you, much appreciated.

As for the letter from the Gp, can you think of something that it should be included in the letter specifically?

The applicant will have to pay for any letters/forms from the Gp and I would like to ensure that it contains everything needed.

Re: Dementia and stroke

Many thanks for your reply, much appreciated

The passport is valid, but there is an addition ID card issued by the country which is expired.

They will apply soon for this, but getting a response might take longer and they wish to apply for the citizenship sooner

Re: Dementia and stroke

Re: Dementia and stroke

The only issue I see is that the applicant has to be of sound mind. Considering the applicant's conditions, is it fair to say that? Could you get a doctor's letter that certifies that? You should also obtain something to state that the applicant has dementia therefore they can't pronounce the oath ...

Re: Dementia and stroke

I presume that the applicant already has ILR. Has the applicant done a English test at the time of ILR? Or did they have an exemption at the time they applied for ILR? Thank you Yes they already have ILR in the form of Settled Status and hence English test wasn’t required. They do have, however, ...

Re: Referee and and ex-sister in law

Thanks for your reply

If they did use the ex sister in law as a referee would the home office reject their application? Or will they ask for alternative referee?

Thank you and it’s great to know

Also, do you think I should add this in my cover letter as there is a question in the end which asks about applying discretion or should I not mention it at all?

British Citizenship and overstayer

Hello

Are there any chances of citizenship application being approved if you have been an overstayer in the last 10years before your application?

Can I ask the case worker for discretion if there was a period of no legal stay as I had an application in an appeal for a very long time?

Re: Good character requirements

Hi again

Do I need to indicate in cover letter if I am applying under Section 6(1) or 6(2) regulation?

I am applying based on 5years would this be 6(1)?

Also, I have no property or assets, no spouse/partner or children, what I can use to prove I have established my life here?
