For adults there are 2 main categories for Naturslisation
AN6(1) and AN6(2).

AN6(2) is if you're applying under spouse of British citizen. AN6(1) is for any other basis ( such as long residence, Tier based)

The AN form should change around about the same time which mostly likely won't give you any option but Trinity College or SELT

You don't need to do this test again as u have already demonstrated English ability in your ILR. The other person is giving u wrong advise. That transitional period applies only on immigration application not on naturalisation. My IELTS is even expired and I m using it for naturalisation next month...
