Non-EU will be charged for NHS in addition to £600 surcharge

Apparently, there are proposals to charge non-EU patients for NHS services, even for GP appointments, blood tests, X-ray etc. Even ambulance and A&E service will be charged as well! The urgent medical care will be given (and later charged) but GPs/hospitals can withhold treatment for non-urgent ...

Re: Trivial increase to salary, reporting to Homeoffice

Can be considered as annual increment, I've had Tier2 since 2013 and every year the salary increased. The first CoS and extension this year had about 11K difference. None of these were reported to HO and HO did not say anything, the extension came successful within 4 weeks of BRP enrollement I see ...

Trivial increase to salary, reporting to Homeoffice

THis is what policy guidance says on salary increase: 15.7 (b) If there are any significant changes in the sponsored migrant’s circumstances, for example: • a promotion or change in job title, or core duties, other than those which need a change of employment application; For more information, pl ...

Re: Documents to show salary - Tier 2 ILR

how many hours do u have to work per week.. this 35k min salary requirement is for 39 hours/week, so if u work anything less, u maybe ok already with your current salary.. search the forum to calculate the salary if your contract is for less hours.. eg. 37.5 hours per week. That's a very ...

Re: ILR application - Salary requirement

Just to update this thread,it appears that the salary can not be pro-rated to 39 hours to satisfy 35k requirement for ILR. Migrant must earn minimum of 35k or pro-rated 39-hour-weekly salary as mentioned in SOC code for experienced worker. Here is the reference: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com ...

Re: Visitor visa for parents - Overcrowding?

For all those who may be interested my parents were granted visitor visa. So apparently for visitor visas, the the requirement for overcrowding is waived. The clause 329 in Housing Act 1985 also states that if a family member is living temporarily, he does not cause overcrowding. So probably those ...

Re: Dependent Tier 2 visa - Subsisting marriage

Yes your situation is a bit unique but the requirement of proving a subsisting relationship is something that not many are aware of. And things are just getting more and more difficult in current climate. If you are concerned, as I suggested, take help of a solicitor, either someone in China in her ...

Re: Tier 2 dependent application

Be aware that you have to mention the refusals of visa on any further forms and once you mention that Tier 2 dependent visa was refused twice, obviously any other type of visa application, like Visitor Visa, will be seen as another attempt to enter the UK and may likely be refused. If you are ...

Re: Tier 2 ILR - Minimum salary requirement in 2018

I dont hink they will change the minimum threshold. They can change the minimum salary requirement for each SOC job code ( which may go higher than the defined threshold for the year). Obviously its their country and their rules. Well, that too supports what I said earlier - no one can tell anyone ...

Tier 2 Extension queries

Hi My current Tier 2 general visa will expire in Feb 2016 and had some queries regarding the extension. 1) Currently my salary is £31,827 but experienced rate salary in my code (2126) is £32,100. Should I ask my employer to increase my salary now and inform UKVI about the same through SMS, or should ...

Visitor visa for parents - Overcrowding?

Having researched through posts, I am still unclear about this. I am on Tier 2, live with my wife in our one bedroom flat with separate living room. My parents want to visit us for a month. But there are restrictions regarding overcrowding given here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications ...

Re: Dependent Tier 2 visa - Subsisting marriage

Thanks Manci. I have couple of additional questions. 1) Whatsapp chats are available only as plain text files, so the printouts will only include timeprints with her and my name and our chats, can this be credible as an evidence of subsisting relationship? With #5 omitted, I have enough evidence for ...

Dependent Tier 2 visa - Subsisting marriage

Hi My wife is going to apply for Tier 2 dependent visa next week from India and from what I read on this forum, one area where UKVI documentation is vague about is subsisting relationship. Our wedding took place on 15 November and it will be 2 months after that she is applying. So I don't know if ...

ILR achieving the salary threshold

I am on Tier 2 general and will qualify for ILR in March 2018 and I understand that there is a salary threshold of £35,000 until 6 April 2018 (after which it becomes £35,500 for a year). Now, 1) If I ask my employer to increase the salary instead of giving the annual Christmas bonus would this be ok? ...

Re: Dependent Tier 2 visa

Thanks Manci. Yes this sounds like a great idea. I had earlier used this website to change my address: https://eforms.homeoffice.gov.uk/outreach/AddressUpdate.ofml I was wondering if I can use the same now, but I do not see any field for "date of effect" in this website form, where I can specify ...

Re: Dependent Tier 2 visa

Hi Manci, Thanks for chiming in, always great to read your definitive replies. I do understand that tenancy agreement is not required for a PBS dependent, but my wife would have to specify in the application form where she would live. My only question is, can this address (new address) be different ...

Re: Dependent Tier 2 visa

Ok, now we are getting to the crux of the question I am asking. Sorry for being elaborate/repetitive but I would be glad if this is clarified. For the sake of simplicity, let's say she applies on or after 18 January. The only address that goes in the form is the one where she will be staying. Then ...

Re: Dependent Tier 2 visa

That is the dilemma actually. The new contract starts at 18 January. Can my wife apply before that, given that the intended date of travel specified in the application is 30 January or later? It would be a shame if she had to wait until 18 January just so that the new address becomes valid :?
