Documents for ILR and double check date

Can someone tell me if the following is correct for the documents I need, and some additional questions next to them? I am just trying to be ready, so we can apply day 1 of being eligible. Proof of Application: passport Proof of ID and travel history: Passport (Both husband and wife) BRP Flight emai...

BRP Card question

I am looking to apply for ILR in mid-June (using super priority). However, I have a trip in July that I must make. When I apply in June, will they take my passport and current BRP card, or will they leave them with me? If they leave with me (and still valid in July), can I use those to travel? I hav...

Do I have the ILR application date correct?

Hi, I transferred from a Tier 2 visa in 2016 to FLR (M) after getting married to my husband. My BRP (expired) reminds me that the date of issue was 16-07-2016. Does this mean then that my 28 day period to apply for my ILR starts on 18 June 2021? I assume so, given it's not like '28 days from when I ...

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

Can someone remind me of what super priority deadlines are? 24 hours, correct? I went to Reading UKVAS on 12 January for a 10 am appointment, and estimating 24 hours, I should have had an email by Monday 10 am. However, let's say that Saturday is a non working day for the Home Office, then by 10 am...

Re: UKVCAS Centre at Reading - anyone been yet?

Yes, you get your passport back straight away. The desk officer will scan it, and use it for the biometrics, but I think my passport was out of my hands for a grand total of 5 minutes in the processing. However, in terms of being able to travel straight away / while the decision is processing or und...

Re: UKVCAS Centre at Reading - anyone been yet?

Hi - I went this morning to the Reading centre and actually had probably the most jaw-droppingly amazing situation. Online application submitted 30 December, went online at around 6 pm, saw a Reading appointment for 2 weeks out (they had at least 5 appointments free when I looked). All were 125 poun...

Documents - online application or in person?

Hello,

With the new UKVCAS system and in-person centres - are the documents to be dated 28 days from the online application date (e.g. the date you pay the IHS surcharge and other fees), or are they to be dated 28 days from your appointment at the UKVCAS centres / libraries? Many thanks!

FLR(M) renewal - but visa length doesn't match normal timings

Hello, On 16 July of 2016 I received my FLR(M) - switching from a Tier 2 visa. I am now looking to renew, but the end date on my BRP is the 13th of February. Instead of a 30 month or 33 month visa, I have a 31 month visa. So I am now trying to ascertain when I could apply for my renewal. 28 days bef...

Re: Need help ASAP! Tier 2 Visa and Fiancee

Just wanted to update the board in case anyone is worried in a similar case such as mine.

Spoke with the consulate today and they advised that there would be no problem claiming my British fiancee on the Tier 2 form and that this wouldn't delay my visa decision. So very good news.

Where to send package in US

Hi - my visa doesn't have the address of the UK consulate in New York on it. Just confirming this is the address others have used: 845 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10022. If different, please let me know. Also - how did people submit "prepaid return envelope" - just a fedex package and form with their numb...

Re: Need help ASAP! Tier 2 Visa and Fiancee

interesting because the VAF9 paper form from which I quoted the 6 categories of marital status is the current April 2014 form. (btw- the penultimate category should have read "Widowed /surviving civil partner") Please describe the sequence of steps in the online application before you got to the ma...

Re: Need help ASAP! Tier 2 Visa and Fiancee

your marital status is single and your engagement is not relevant to your T2 entry clearance application, no need to mention it. Once you are in the UK and decide to marry there are various options for settlement such as applying for ILR once you completed 5 years on T2G or a spouse visa which also...

Need help ASAP! Tier 2 Visa and Fiancee

I recently landed a job with a top UK employer and received my CoS a few days ago. Right before I got my CoS, my longterm boyfriend decided to propose. This is excellent news... except for the fact that he is a British citizen. The online visa application asks for 'marital status' in which I now hav...
