No set rules for approvals and ceremonies. Though roughly we can see some trends but its not true that it can only happen within certain time periods.

1 year residence is in terms of your garda stam. Holidays does not make any difference. But you should not have any gap in between your garda stamps.

Call them. They might have sent it but you did not received. This happened to some one I know. He called them after waiting many months after 2nd stage and they said we have sent you the approval couple of months ago.

They dont claim 6 months for all the cases. In ceremony on Friday the Minister said "less than 6months in some cases".
