Re: Spouse Visa - Sponsonship Letter

I submitted an application recently in India, which was approved pretty surprisingly quickly. I did not have any free form letter from me. You'll see another post where I have said that UK Visas told me by email the sponsorship form SU 07 was not necessary. However, VFS application centre asked us t...

Re: Bringing parents to UK

I don't think there's any option really - the UK has tightened rules on ADRs. There's the Surinder Singh route, but I am not sure exactly how it would work.

Re: Spouse visa so quickly??

If it is a refusal, do they not first contact you to allow you to provide any other information they need? I notice that the application timeline at Mumbai seems pretty quick: http://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/India/pdf/India_Publishing_Weekly_Processing_times_070215.pdf See page 5 here where it says settl...

Re: Category to choose for wife - Visa4UK

Thank you. I asked the Visa4UK team, and they responded as follows, for the benefit of anyone else reading this: With regards to your query, Applicants only need to provide the sponsorship declaration form if they are applying as a parent, grandparent or other over 18 dependant relative of a British...

Sponsor details

Hi Having completed the form further, I notice that there is a section called "Sponsor details" and in here, it asks for details of the sponsor. In my case, this is me, as a British citizen, sponsoring my fiancée, once we have married later this month. However, where it asks for "What is their relat...

Category to choose for wife - Visa4UK

Hi, I am a British citizen (thanks to everyone who helped me earlier on this forum with my application!). I am getting married in January, and my fiancée will be applying for a visa after our wedding, as my spouse. She's currently outside the UK / EEA. I'm trying to complete the online application a...

Re: No last name

I've just noticed that the online application process requires a last name for the creation of the application. This is a bit disconcerting - should I just press the spacebar once to make it a blank last name?

Any guidance appreciated!!

Hi My fiancee will be applying for a family of settled person visa shortly. She only has a first name - i.e. no middle name and no last name. This is consistent on all her documents e.g. current passport, birth certificate, university certificates etc. Has anyone else had experience of applying for ...

Re: Queue outside HCI London - any point reaching early?

I got there for around 9 40 and got my token. I work nearby, so I took the opportunity then to go get a coffee and a photocopy of my naturalisation certificate. I returned around 10 30 I think, and then my token got called only around 12 noon. So it looks like it'll be a long wait if you take my lea...
