Re: IDV App - who is eligible?

Also, it is a bit disappointing that one cannot use the approx. £20 ID and biometrics service provided by the post office in a scenario such as this, instead of an expensive UKVCAS appointment for the same purpose! If there’s a legit reason for that then it’s well and good but if none, then a bit o...

Re: IDV App or UKVCAS

Sorry Dear, do I upload documents on UKVCAS after completion of all process mean payment etc etc or wait for home office email? Thanks I believe there are two ways to upload documents: either on UKVCAS, or on the app. I know for sure that if you are told to book a biometrics appointment (instead of...

Re: change brc issued under eea to eu settlement

This page (https://www.gov.uk/uk-residence-card) clearly says : You can no longer apply for a UK residence card. If you already have a card, it will not be valid after 30 June 2021.

Re: Do I need to apply for a new BRP? (Non - EEA with Existing BRC)

Many thanks for the prompt response Kamoe.
That thread is very informative.
It's very disheartening that the home office isn't offering straightforward guidance on some matters related to EUSS and it falls upon members like you to compile info and do the job for them.

Do I need to apply for a new BRP? (Non - EEA with Existing BRC)

Hi everyone,
I got my settled status about 10 days ago and was wondering if I need to make another application to have my BRC changed to the EUSS one?
I have an existing BRC which was issued about 3 years ago.

Kind regards

Thank you obie They will be trying to get an urgent passport which is unlikely before 31st Dec because passport number is required to put in application online, is there any other way around it ? If there's absolutely no way around it then I'd just mention it on the passport number column that you ...

Re: EEA Spouse Refused

@Zerubbbel The signatures do not match. The guy can't explain why they do not match, not that "they do match, I don't know why the HO thinks they don't." It could be someone else with a stolen passport, don't you think? It could be that the girl couldn't travel to Nigeria and asked a friend to sign...

@Obie
As always, your posts are very informative.

@Tek123
I think after looking at the above ruling a case can be made on your marriage to your ex partner being one of convenience.

Can you give us some more information re: what your relationship with your sponsor is?
Are you applying under your spouse/partner or are you applying under another family member?

Re: Replacement BRC

I received my Biometric Resident Card a week after but unfortunately on April 2020 it has been stolen. Can I ask why you presume it was stolen and not just lost? If it was indeed stolen, it is my understanding that you ideally should've made a police complaint.Not saying that this is a requirement....

In other words, it is fraud.
Not a nice accusation to make when you're not aware of the OPs circumstances or personal life.

Re: change brc issued under eea to eu settlement

Hi everyone, My wife has applied to change her brc from EEA family member to EU Settlement and she has her Biometrics appointment just after New Year. However she'll have to change her Passport (non-EU) in a few months as it expires. Does this mean that she'll need to apply AGAIN for a new Residenc...

Re: Is it still possible to have your eu settled status ilr revoked?

I am irish national. My husband tricked me to marry him. So he can apply for eu settled. He was granted pre settled 5yrs. Immediately he got his 5yrs pre settlement, not even up to a month, he started making my life hell, having sex with me without my consent, violence, will leave home for days. No...

Well if you're paying for the property you should be able to use the address. Use it as you normally would, Don't mess up your life for his actions. The council won't kick you out specifically just because you applied for a visa. If the council ever finds out that your so-called "Landlord" is rentin...

@Richard: Ah yes, When I said passport I did mean nationality. But since irishsea was referring to his/her partner's nationalities as passports, I didn't want to confuse him/her further and just kept referring to it as passports. I do understand that it's technically wrong for me to do it. Also, If ...

Re: Denied and told I have to leave Immediatly

I know they are allowed both British and Irish nationality. But as many others on this forum would tell you : An EEA national is : A national of an EEA State who is not also a British citizen; I don't think that the home office knows that your spouse/partner has a British passport. I'm afraid you're...
