Hello Mahil_2000 Reading your previous posts I can see why you have made certain comments and assertions. You clearly know that certain things you have mentioned are illegal, but considering the Indian politics and law, there is always a way out. You have to be really unlucky to get stuck! Most of t...

What makes you think so?...

This is more complex than a lot of the people think it to be. India may be very progressive in media, but there still is a lot of corruption and I think that is highlighted in the posters concerns.

Can't see why she should have any problems. Immigration can't say anything, if you can afford to do it.
Ofcourse, she has to have the relevant visas/ILR etc.

I think the six month visitor visa would also have an expiry date or stamp on it?... So it is valid only for the six month period between the two dates on the visa.

What you mentioned is valid if she had a 1yr or more multiple entry visa.

Depends on where in India you live and what your financial and social situation is over there. Are you educationally qualified to get a job or would you be looking to start a business here as well? Do you have any finances available to help you initially when you move? It's difficult to say what you...

Thanks for the comments earlier about this.

Reason I think they would have picked on my previous ppt through fingerprints is I was asked a few questions at immigration including length of my stay in UK, purpose of travel etc and whether I had been to a certain country in the Indian sub-continent.

An update on above; travelled to US recently.
Used my UK ppt. No problems.
They did not mention about the US visa on my previous passport; although they might have seen it on their system through fingerprints etc.

This error appeared in the ack letter as well, so we wrote to them with doc (marriage cert etc) to get it corrected. But it seems like either they didn't go through that letter, or didn't get it! That's the main reason for getting it done through deed poll. As for the original forms, I think she mig...

Rectifying error on Naturalisation certificate

Has anyone been through the experience of getting the naturalisation certificate corrected? IND have very kindly added my wife's maiden family name in the naturalisation certificate along with her married surname. So, it reads like "First Middle Maiden Last". Just wondering if it's quicker and easie...

You could use school/college letters and utility bills for proving that you were in the country... this would show your student status and residence etc.
Good Luck.

Your records can't 'just disappear'. Much as the Inland Rev are slow, you should be able to get them dig out the records from your temporary (assuming) NI number.

I do remember seeing a update thing on the IND website mentioning about the OCI. Basically British law considers OCI as dual nationality and that they had informed the relevant Indian authority about the same, with no objection. So, OCI holders will not be covered by British Consular protection when...

Sorry to say, but this is not quite an excuse to justify your stay in this country. I find it difficult to belive that in four years your daughter has forgotten the language she learnt as a child. Moreover, it is your mistake that she can't read/write/speak your native language... this is a relativl...

You could request them to send your present passport back and get a visa for travelling with work, till you get your UK citizenship and passport.

We have a 11-year old daughter who has stayed here for four years and is going to start her secondary school this coming Septe...

The H1B will not be valid unless transferred to your Uk passport. By taking on UK citizenship, you are no longer an Indian citizen, hence the Indian passport becomes invalid, along with all the visas on it; unless ofcourse you get your HiB transferred to the UK ppt. Using the Indian ppt after taking...

Well, talking to US embassy yesterday, I seem to remember that VWP individuals do have to get a visa if visiting US, if they have been refused a visa earlier. So bonzoman, I would suggest atleast calling them up to confirm, or writing to them as Rogerio suggested. As for me, I think I should be ok, ...
