Re: Visitor visa and loss of passport with previous visits

Try to answer the dates as much accurate as possible on the application and include a cover letter explaining exact dates cannot be remembered due to lost passports. This is not a big problem. Thanks for your reply. Really appreciate it. Its been many years since those visits and we barely remember...

Visitor visa and loss of passport with previous visits

Hi, I am applying for visitor visa for my mother in India to visit us in UK. She has previously visited us 4 times in last 10 years. She never overstayed on any of her visits. However, we lost all her previous passports last year and had to apply for a fresh Indian passport. She now has received her...

Re: Update on application processing

Thanks. May I ask does the 6 months start from the date you submit your application online or from the date of biometrics??? there is almost a months between them for me. The caseworkers will probably start working from home from this Monday. I'm afraid we might face further delays. The long wait i...

Re: General discussion on naturalization applications

Hi, I applied in March 2021, still awaiting a decision. Anyone else who applied around the same time still waiting for a decision? Thank you I also applied in March and haven't received anything in writing neither by email or post. How to find out what is going on? As it is beyond 6 months, I think...

Re: May Applications

It does not look like HO follows any logic while assigning case workers. Their queuing system is obviously broken and flawed. I applied early October and already seeing mid October and later cases being approved whilst no news on mine. So trying to make sense out of broken HO system is just going to...

Change of address while naturalisation application in progress

I filed naturalisation application a month ago and obviously haven't heard anything back yet. However, I may have to move house in next few weeks. I have a couple of questions 1. do I need to do anything if I do move houses and if my application is still not decided by then? If yes (presumably that ...

That is a fantastic news. Just to be clear, she is 12 years old so there is no age limit on that rule for a child. Correct?

Referee requirement and few other questions

Hi, we are a family of three and about to finish our 12 months with ILR. We will start the naturalisation process in August. Have a few questions and was hoping if someone can help; 1. Is the referee requirement there for a child application or is it only for adults? If required for child, can it be...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Had applied (ILR (LR)) for my child in May and did IDV submission in September first week. However, there was no decision till now. As it crossed six months, we thought we should book the bio-metric appointment to be on safer side. Got one after lockdown and paid £110. However, the decision just ca...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Let me put forward a question for comparison for those who submitted biometrics in the last 2-4 weeks. How many of you are waiting who purely submitted biometrics via: the IDV app ONLY or UKVCAS in person ONLY during 17th Aug - 31st Aug irrespective of the date of application?? Please post as: “I s...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Congratulations fellow applicants who got their approval decisions after submitting biometrics via the IDV app. My observation, from all the application timelines, IDV or not, SET-LR applicants who have already waited for at least 10 years have possibly be sidelined or have further set in the lowes...

Not entirely same situation as yours but I am 10th May case and did not receive the invite but looks like the queue has moved beyond 20th May. Question, how many applications are linked to your email and did you raise any case on your application with UKVI previously? I have two applications on the...
