Re: Spousal Visa Application - Pakistan (Timeline Only)

I can barely believe this! Those who applied in Mirpur in December are about to get responses and yet my wife applied in Karachi in October and STILL there is no response at all. I've escalated this for application for a second time last week on Thursday and I haven't received any response to that ...

Travelling with a UK Settlement Visa

Wondered if anyone knows a definitive answer to this.

If you're the spouse of British Citizen and you have a settlement visa in your Pakistani passport, are you allowed to travel freely in the EU just like any other British Citizen, or do you need to apply for a Schengen visa?

Re: Spousal Visa Application - Pakistan (Timeline Only)

On this whole 2 email thing. My wife got an email today that the BHC in Islamabad had processed and it was being sent to the centre. Is this the first email people are talking about? You should get one that mentions "processed" and one that says "concluded' (with a Ref No.) if your visa has been gr...

Re: Spousal Visa Application - Pakistan (Timeline Only)

We provided a letter from the solicitor stating that my sponsor is the owner of the property and then we provided an official title plan from the land registry. According to the ECO this evidence is not enough. Now you see since my solicitor was an idiot he didn't put in the proper documentation fo...

Re: Spousal Visa Application - Pakistan (Timeline Only)

Thanks akhan48 I want to know if you took help from a solicitor for your visa application. I'll just go to that firm for my visa application. Because clearly the reasons for my refusal are because of my solicitor's stupidity. Yes I did use a solicitor to submit my application. But to be honest it's...

I can tell you what happened from my experience. I applied under Category A, so it may not be the same for you. My employment letter stated my gross annual salary (one figure). However, in the last 12 months, like yourself, I earned more than my annual salary due to bonuses, overtime, etc, it can ha...

Re: salary change for spouse visa

Hi, My employment letter states that my annual income is "approximately" £23600. To your knowledge, would that be an issue? Thanks... If you are salaried, then the amount should be an exact number, it can't be approximate. I wouldn't be comfortable if my employer gave me a letter stating anything "...
