Re: Application for my wife, resident in two countries.

Thanks for the reply. With regards to proving ties to the countries we are resident that's never been a problem as she's had about 7 UK visas and countless schengen visas as well as a PR in Canada. Our ties are very strong in both Turkey and UAE. My concern really is that if we apply in Istanbul, th...

A standard visit visa and not any settled status. We have plans to move to Canada in a few years but not the UK.

Hi everyone, I'm from the UK/Canada and we live between UAE and Turkey. I want to apply for a UK visa for my wife (from Syria). She currently has a 2 year visit visa that is expiring in November (which we didn't use) and we want to travel sometime in December (during our son's school holidays). All ...

Re: British Father, non-British Mother, Son born in the UK..

Thanks to everyone who replied. I'm now filing out his passport and it's asking for details of his grandparent's right to British Citizenship, which is my mother. She was naturalised in the 1950's on the same certificate as my grandfather (his great grandfather). I do have a photocopy of it, would t...

British Father, non-British Mother, Son born in the UK....

My wife is a Syrian National (she is currently NOT settled in the UK, been taking care of her sick father who sadly passed away on the 5th of this month). Our son was born in London a few day...

Re: Opening a business in Ireland, want residency as well.

Thanks for the reply.

Follow-up questions:

1) How long till she gets the temp stamp?

2) Can we travel outside ireland with temp stamp (job would require travel to UK and maybe Germany)

3) Do they stamp her passport every time she comes in and out while being a permanent resident?

Re: British Passport application processing timelines (only)

Hi guys... I've been waiting for my Passport for over 4 months now, I get the same responses like 1) No 2 applications are the same. 2) Your application is still undergoing standard checks. 3) An application can take as long as it needs to. No more info is given to me despite requests to speak to m...
