I hope someone can shed light to my query. In light of the above circumstances, by not appearing at the US Embassy for the requisite interview within the given year, is that deemed as a Denial? The question in the application form has stumped.

Any info or opinion will help. Thank you!

Thank you for your reply. In addition, my friend was granted a 3-month visa on the basis of her husband's ( he is a band member who had 2 month tour in the states) visa.
