We were hoping to reschedule it for when we return from US but it seems that our only option is to attend the ceremony otherwise we risk running out of 3 mon...

Re: Questions for naturalisation employment history and self employed

based on my experience, the employment part is not as critical for citizenship application and is more a supplementary information. For self employment, a letter from accountant should suffice. having gaps in employment or self employment has no bearing on citizenship application as long as you are ...

Re: First UK passport from abroad

Thanks mate.

I know we are required to return the ILR card within 5 days but can we return that after returning from our trip and actually use that along with her US passport to return? We will obviously carry her citizenship certificate as well.

Re: First UK passport from abroad

Thanks Vinny. We fly in 4 days after the citizenship ceremony, so options are either 1. to reschedule the ceremony to when we return, 2. get the citizenship and then apply the passport from US before returning or maybe we apply for urgent passport application? is that even an option? can first adult...

Re: Final documents check before biometrics appointment

Submit only what is asked for, not what you think is relevant. Lettets from GP, employer or hospital etc is NOT required. You only need stamped passports pages as the requirements clearly state. what is some of the pages are not stamped as the applicant was travelling under a registered traveller m...

Re: Residence Requirement (British Citizenship) -270 days rule

You should certainly include an explanatory note why you have been over the normal absence total - the guidance stipulates the level to which excess absences are "disregarded" so we need to take them by their word - there have been reports from members who were approved with excess absences. So bes...

Only Upload documents that are dated on to before the online application date. Your Biometrics appointment date is irrelevant to the date of documents.
that's helpful, thank you!

Re: ILR- Financial Requirement as Director of UK Ltd Company

Date of application is the date you submit and pay online and not the date of biometric appointment. Thank you for your response. So my current bank statements are up to 3rd June and payslips until 31st May. by the time I upload my documents and have my biometric appointment, it will be 3rd July. d...

Re: ILR- Financial Requirement as Director of UK Ltd Company

Correct. If you are not working for a specified company then you are applying under either Catagory A or B as you have a salaried employment. So you only need to forward a confirmation statement/annual return as per guidance to prove the limited company is not 'specified' type Great, thanks mate. t...
