Re: ILR for T1 Ent but Extension for Dependants

Thanks for reply.

It is PBS five years T1 Ent visa - the basis of main applicant's ILR.

So that means until the main applicant is granted ILR, decision on dependants extensions will be on hold?

Thanks again

Re: ILR for T1 Ent but Extension for Dependants

Thanks;

However what if my brother's ILR rejected and his dependant have already got visa? Will the extension be curtailed afterwards? How long the extension will be granted for?

thanks for your reply in advance.

ILR for T1 Ent but Extension for Dependants

My brother is due for ILR soon. He is currently on Tier 1 Entrepreneur. But his wife and child (born in the UK 2 years ago) have not completed 5 years’ time in the UK. His wife and child both are his dependant and their visas expire the same days as my brothers. Now my brother will be going for ILR ...

Re: Letter to MP

Amber wrote:Yes, once you complete the citizenship ceremony, you are British and thus from that point, your spouse can apply as the spouse of a British citizen assuming the other requirements are met. This includes a reduced residence requirement of 3 years an no need to have ILR for one year.
Many thanks!

Residence requirement for a newly BC Spouse.

Can I apply for my wife's naturalisation once I'm granted my BC. My wife has ILR for over a year but has been in the UK for over 4 years before ILR she was my WP dependant. Someone said to me she doesn't have to wait for 5 years and after my BC requirement of her residency reduced to 3 years. Thank ...

Re: Letter to MP

Telephone your MP, they have a direct line to the Home Office, ask them to chase if it's been more than 6 months. You don't need to write to the MP. Hi, I'm sorry to be asking this question here Amber. Can I apply for my wife's naturalisation once I receive my naturalisation certifucate hopefully i...

Re: September 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

Gladwing, thanks!

I emailed my MP but attached a formal type letter as pdf. I think if you make up a letter with all the reference no etc it's better. Make it precise. I hope you get yours sooner. Stay positive! It's on it's way soon!

Re: Naturalisation application processing timelines (only)

Friends I'm very down today. I have a potential job offer from Qatar on three time more salary than my current. How could I proceed without knowing the status of my application? I can't go for something and sacrifice the other? Any idea? I'm into 6 months and one week since they received by the big ...

Re: Naturalisation application processing timelines (only)

No I don't have any conviction or warning that I know of. Only after a month of application submitted I was caught by camera for overspeeding but i wasn't too fast so I was offered learning and awareness course and I have taken the awareness course already and that's long time ago.

Re: Naturalisation application processing timelines (only)

Received email reply following my query that I need to wait another 3-6 months for decision and even that is not certain. How on earth this is fair? Any idea how long will it take. Has anyone with this timeline received a decision lately? Does this mean that I shouldn't expect anything in next 3 mon...

Re: September 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

For God sake, I'm approaching end of 6 long months and late Jan 15 applicants are booking their ceremonies. What's going on in the name of additional and external checks? We are living in 2015. What's going on? I don't think we will get anything within 6 months but upon checking some Jan 14 and Feb ...

Re: Naturalisation application processing timelines (only)

Thanks so much for your kind replies. Recent FOI figures showing a huge backlog and I think average time is around 8/9 months now except the lucky ones who are getting the decisions quicker. Surely, they is a way to raise our protest at a public forum where our concerns can be heard and reach out t...
