Re: Naturalisation application processing timelines (only)

Hi all, I got a letter in November asking for extra documentation - one of several given options to proof residence between two particular dates. I sent two of the given options immediately. From following these forums over the last year, I was under the impression that, once you're asked for extra...

Re: SET (Protection) Route applications

Mahm It's true that it sometimes works well. However, It's still a risk I wouldn't probably like to take, because it's all about the HO rather vague "discretion " !! I mean I I might send my application in with the relatively high fee of about £900, and then wait for unknown period, perhaps weeks, ...

Re: SET (Protection) Route applications

Selfie In circumstances where HO delayed an application for more than 6 months, they'd apply a discretion and let you apply for naturalisation just after the decision was made. I've seen and heard of so many cases of the kind and their applications were accepted. However this is on merit, it's not a...

Re: SET (Protection) Route applications

8.5 months and no ILR yet. Sometimes I feel like die but I pray and knowing God is on my side. The wait is killing me. On the brighter side: you won't have to wait for the one year before you naturalise. Under their discretion because of their delay in determining your application, you can apply st...

Re: Refused British Citizenship due to being in the UK Illeg

Hello everyone, I am a newbie :) So, I am in the same situation as people in this post. I came to the UK in 2007 June, applied for asylum on the next day of my arrival as it was to late to go to the HO same day. I was granted a 5 year leave to remain in October 2007. So, fast forward 5 years, in 20...

All above were wrong. You judged san2014 partner's case without establishing the full facts. From what I have read, I believe that her partner arrived in the UK and applied for asylum, his case was delayed for years (that does not constitute to illegal stay) and also you should remember, some asylum...
