Re: April 2016 Naturalisation TIMELINE ONLY

For completeness sake. Again, thanks to everyone who helped along the way from my ILR to my naturalisation. Finally got both the payment letter (dated 29/04/16) and the biometrics letter (dated 09/05/16). Guess it was sitting on someone's desk.

Re: Payment cleared account but no acknowledgement

Thanks David - what info did you give them to identify yourself? I'm assuming full name, DOB, BRP number? Will do it later tonight if I don't have any mail when I get home.

Re: Payment cleared account but no acknowledgement

Thanks guys - I was wondering what happens if you miss the biometrics deadline so it's good to know they will send a reminder if the letter has gone astray. Bank holiday may have thrown a spanner in the mix as well.

Payment cleared account but no acknowledgement

Hi All, I'm getting a bit anxious that my payment cleared my account on 29 April but I have received no email acknowledgement or letter from the Home Office for the biometrics. Is this a cause for concern given the time limit imposed for providing the biometrics? We have some strange numbering on my...

Re: Proof of residence covered by stolen passport

Just as a followup I submitted my application today with four P60s that covered the period of the stolen passport and a letter from my previous employer confirming I worked for them in London for the period. I also submitted the police report, copy of my previous passport photo page and ancestry vis...

Re: Proof of residence covered by stolen passport

Thanks. I've asked my previous employer for a new letter and will try find my P60s from then. Have a nationality checking appointment with Manchester City Council on the 11th and otherwise my application is very straightforward.

Proof of residence covered by stolen passport

Finally a year on from my ILR and getting my documents ready for my citizenship application and wanted to make sure I understood this correctly. My passport to which I first entered the UK (with visa) 26 April 2010 was stolen in France in November 2013. My nationality qualifying period is from 8 Apr...

Tiran I used those guys and they were fine. It's all a bit pricey really. HO accepted the translated police report twice (once transfer of stay and second ILR).

Re: Ancestry visa to ILR assistance please!

Also, I assume you have the visa stuck in your passport rather than a biometric card? I only had a biometric permit as I had to get a replacement visa when my passport was stolen 18 months ago. Therefore you can ignore any questions asking for biometric permit details like card number.

Re: New fee approved: -2015

I booked appointment on 28 February for 8 April. I took the new SET(O) form, didn't complete the payment pages and was accepted for the old fees I had paid on 28 Feb. There is no issue with this and absolutely no questions from PEO. ILR was granted.

No letter from my employer for the holidays as not required on Ancestry if below the limits. My abse...

Re: Ancestry visa to ILR assistance please!

Check out my post in in person applications as I was granted on Wednesday. Ancestry to ILR is easy as proof level is low and you can do it yourself and you only need 3 months of payslips and bank statements. I had original birth certificates (me > mother > maternal grandmother)

Just to confirm, I made my appointment and paid for it on 25 February under the £1,493 fee. I used new form at my appointment today in Croydon HO but was not asked to make additional payment. IRL was approved.
