Travelling with Irish Naturalisation Certificate

Hi guys, I was looking for some clarity here. I got my Irish Citizenship in the last ceremony and applied for the passport. However, I will need to travel this week and the other, but I only have my Non-Eu passport with me and not my Irish passport yet, as it's still being processed in the passport ...

Re: Next Ceremony 26th November at Killarney

As long as it’s standardise it makes no sense to keep sending out approvals if they can’t accommodate everybody in the upcoming ceremony. I’m in the same boat where I got my approval on the 23rd and sent everything on the next day via express post. I wonder if I should send them an email asking for ...

Re: Next Ceremony 26th November at Killarney

No invitation yet as well. That'd be weird to leave people waiting, asking to pay and send docs and now having to wait, without a GNIB card until next year!

Has anybody based in Dublin received invitation today ? . Nothing in the post for me today 😫
Not yet! I just sent my GNIB last Wednesday, so it might take a while for me. Just hope not to be included in the last one after 3pm

Re: Final stage of citizenship application

My friend got hers approved yesterday. Spouse of Irish citizen, applied in May 2017. Mine is still in “final stage” according to lady on the phone. I applied in October 2017. Ugh!!! Have they said if it is with the Minister or something like that? I applied in Feb this year, and I am also in the se...

Re: Final stage of citizenship application

As soon as it gets to the minister it shouldn’t take so long. Maybe they’re waiting to approve everything in a last batch before the ceremony

They're probably waiting to approve everything at once. Don't think they'd be doing it file by file, but in a pile/all at once instead

Hey abelekhoh, that’s correct! It was a mistake and I didn’t even realise to be honest, only when I went to a place where they check your docs and they told me it was wrong but that I should send as it was and see if they were going to say something or not Right but normally they check these things...

Re: Issues with signature

That’s the thing. I sent it with the wrong signature and after 7 months (more or less) they sent a letter requesting it.

Does it mean that my application is finally being processed? And how long does it usually take after this?

Issues with signature

Hey guys,

I was talking to a few friends who applied for citizenship and they told me that it’s becoming a routine that they are asking for you to handwrite a letter and sign it if your signature doesn’t match the declaration page.

Have any of you had this issue?

Contacting TD to request update

Hi guys,

Have you ever contacted your local TD in order to request an update for the citizenship status?

Do you know if it works to pressure them?

Thanks!
