I am afraid no one here will be able to answer you precisely, give your council a ring early morning and see if they can accommodate your guests. It would depend on their policy.
Thanks mate. Your advice on ringing the council was great, and helped me clarify my queries.

Re: Children in a private citizenship ceremony!

I've just been though a private ceremony and they did accomodate a 5 and a 3 years olds as well as 1 guest - there was enough space for more guests. The size of the room is usually the factor why they limit the guest numbers, I have been told. Thanks mate. I didn't get a chance to read your respons...

Children in a private citizenship ceremony!

Hi All, I have booked a private citizenship ceremony for tomorrow morning. The ceremony invitation email states that we are not allowed to have guests with us at the ceremony. I had a couple of questions and was wondering if you could help: 1. We have a 1 year old son (who is already a BC). Can we t...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Hi All, Just wanted to check if you can attend the ceremony without a letter from home office? The council has the letter and can book the ceremony, but I haven't received the letter from HO yet.

Hi Aabbasi ,

Did you get the Approval letter ?
Not yet. I called the council to check if they have received my acceptance, and Alhamdullilah they have which is great news.

Dear Sir/Madam: I am concerned about the status of my naturalisation application that was sent via NCS XXXXXX 31 May, 2017 as there has not been a response as yet. Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Very short and sweet...did take 8 days to get a response. This was the body of the email Dear Sir/Madam: I received an email last week that indicated that my application for naturalisation had been successful and further instructions would be sent to me via royal mail. To date I have not received a...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Hello All,

The online status has changed to "Decided" yesterday (after a wait of 5 months). Is their a way to check the decision before the letter arrives? I know some members have said that "when i inquired, they told me it was approved". Where do you inquire ?

Appreciate any help here.

Regards,

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Luck of the draw! I applied 31 May. Still awaiting. When I contacted them a few weeks ago they said my application had been granted. It is infuriating and futile to do anything other than wait. And wait.... Hello, How did you contact them? Via an email or Phone? Can you share a bit more detail.

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

I applied for the UK citizenship on 8 June this year via JCAP service (eligible via 5 years of Tier 2 + 1 year of ILR), however my case has still not be decided according to the online tool. I asked Home Office via email last week about the status and they said "All applications are dealt with in a...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Hi Sakos. It is the same for me - decided via BRP, awaiting decision via case ID. When I called them to clarify, the agent said that only the Case ID status is valid - i.e. awaiting decision. This is what they could see in their system as well. Hi, When did you apply BTW? Also, what number did you ...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

It's nearly 8 months now, what do you think I should wait more or email them or send a letter, but my solicitor said not to send anything to them ,because they take that as a complain,it might affect my application Sending an email to them should never be taken as a complaint, as any complaint will h...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

You never know, this might have been a prompt for them to hurry up and allocate it. ALSO who knows what they mean by that-maybe the allocation is the last stage (after checks done by others), then the caseworker gets allocated and the application checked by them as a final review. Its so non transp...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

See I think that's really poor. They have had 5 months to assign (which I assume is the first step!). I would be at them the minute it flicked to 6 months. Don't let them drag this out for you I agree. I mean i know all that privilege vs right stuff, but the point is you have an application and you...

I applied on 13th of June, (Tier 1 Gen + 1 year ILR), and just had a response from the Homeoffice that the case has not yet been assigned to the case worker. Still clueless on how they assign cases :(

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

I think its the luck of the draw ie the caseworker you get. I was advised by a solicitor not to attach unnecessary documentation as they would then waste time trawling through it. I think they are swamped and its taking 5 months as standard now (with the odd annoying exception!) I actually was tryi...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

edit: by the way, anyone that has been in the UK for long enough should know not to trust your local council. NCS is rubbish. Couldn't agree more.
