this is the problem when you start online application, it ask you the person you are joining and when you enter details that they are british citizen it all fine, but as soon you reach IHS website, it than ask you for same british citizen visa expiry, which seems a bug and therefore we all get stuck...

ok so confusion was this person was actually planning to go in person, however what we can do is go to premium appointment booking, pay for surcharge which comes fine as 600£, pay it and get the reference number and come back to our online application and put the reference number there and move on. ...

have you find the way to the visa expiry bug ? i am also stuck where am british and apply my wife extension and health surcharge asking my visa expiry :(, shall i put 3 years expiry there ? please let me know how you get away with it ?

i think i found the answer, i tried to fill up online dependent form, it is very easy and clear . It comes up with information about funds, and it ask for 630 only.

could you please confirm if my wife is applying alone than we only need 630 total for maintenance ? me and our son both have British nationality now. I am just confused do we need to keep funds for myself and son as well for 90 days ?

HI Happy, I think you come under section 1(3), so 1.1 is 1(3), leave the rest blank, you don't have to fill section 2 as if says it resident in united kingdom or British overseas.
