Hi all Once I receive the British passport, do I need to inform any bodies like the HMRC or bank or anyone else? I know that I have to inform HR at work. But other than that, I could not find any advice/guidance online whether any other bodies need to be informed. Any guidance on this will be apprec...

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

@tempuser202020: When I originally said that I got the approval, I meant that I got the ceremony letter. So I received my ceremony letter on 10 April 2021. I never received any separate approval letter (email or post). I've had my ceremony on 28 April 2021. So the long journey has finally come to an...

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

Hi tempuser Thanks for your response. It's some comfort that no one has reported that the email went to their junk folders. I guess we will have to wait another 6 weeks or so before we can demand for any status update. Will keep you posted on any developments. Best regards Alakazam Hi Alakazam, I do...

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

Hi all A bit of a long shot, but is there anyway to track my Naturalisation application status? I applied on 01 Nov 2020. So it's just over 4 months. But I am beginning to wonder whether the email approval could have gone to my junk and got permanently erased after the 30 day period in gmail. I have...

Hi all I've just got home after my appointment for Naturalisation. It was at Lansdowne Road at 8am. No delays. Same as last time for ILR appointment. Just took photo, finger prints and signature. The lady at the counter asked that I haven't uploaded any documents for proof of living in the UK. I exp...

I have got appointment as well on 20 of November. Do you think if I cancelled and rebooked I will get appointment next week? Thanks Hi MALCOM2 As Cullinan says, it is a risk. I checked the last 3 days at 11.55 pm and again a few minutes past midnight on all 3 days. I only saw appointments available...

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

Looks like you cancelled when less than 48 hours left to your appointment? In this case no fee will be refunded. Hopefully I get the refund since my appointment was at 0900 on 07 Nov. So 48 hours before that appointment time is 0900 on 05 Nov - which is tomorrow morning. Or am I missing something?

When was your old appointment which you cancelled? Was it paid?
Hi Cullinan

The original appointment which I cancelled was for Saturday 07 Nov. That was also a paid appointment. I understand that I will be charged 10 GBP and refunded the rest.

Oh no!! You will have to rebook now. If your appointment was paid and cancelled within 48 hours window, you will not get refund either. Maybe you can not book the same slot again. You will have to try or see more appointments 12AM GMT. Earliest will be for 2nd Dec now. I managed to secure a paid ap...

Correct.

Your passport size photo is only needed to be pasted on the referee form. Scanned and uploaded referee declarations then.
Thanks for the rapid response Cullinan

Hi all I have my appointment tomorrow at Lansdowne Road at 9.30 am. I know this forum has sort of agreed that the dual submission is no longer speeding up the process lately. But I had booked this a while back so I might as well go for it and hope it gives me a quicker decision. Just wanted to check...

Hi all

I saw a member ask the question a few days back about the email address from which the decision email comes. I did not see any response to that question.

What email address does the decision letter come from?
