No need. Current visa expiry is irrelevant to be registered as BC for a UK born. But your child may not be covered by NHS costs after current visa expiry and until successfully registered as BC. So you may want to get health insurance as Vinny stated.
Thank you CULLINAN!

Re: Is this overstay?

Yes. However, overstaying will not affect a UK born child’s entitlement to register . Consider getting adequate health insurance cover for child. Thank you Vinny. My wife and me got the ILR last October, so we do not need to apply for ILR independent visa for my child when his current tier 2 indepe...

Can we apply for Child Benefit?

Hi,
My wife and me got ILR in October, but my child has not got ILR. We will apply citizenship for him January next year. Could we apply for the Child Benefit now or have to wait for him to get the UK passport?
Thank you

If you had searched the forum and UKVi website before asking, you would have found very recent topics about this and the explanation. 3112/2024 is the date that all biometric documents (Passports and BRP cards) must be updated with more enhanced security features. I got my ILR(T2 to settlement O) BRP card today, but I noticed the card only valid until 31-12-2024. Only 4 years, is this normal in term of the length?
