If you are only sponsoring a spouse, it is £18,600pa. British children are NOT included for calculating the financial requirements. Only non British children who are also applying for a visa count, which increases the financial requirment per child. @ CR001 How can she sposnor someone on spouse vis...

Re: Visit visa for parents refused - considerations for PAP

Yes I can start to visualise an ECO's thought process. However, they can't seem to be able to find the balance between being professionally sceptical (which is understandable and should be respected) & purely speculative (letting the imagination run wild!). I am sure that not all of them are like t...

Re: Visit visa for parents refused - considerations for PAP

Approach your local MP. Explain him everything. I know its very furstrating. U did everything to convence the ECO but when they made up their mind to not issue the visa they have 101 reasons to refuse your application.

Apply again and give them solid evidence to cover the refusal points. without doing that they will refuse you again and it shows them that how desperate u r to come to the UK.

Re: Visit visa application for mother in law refused

One of the questions on the application form is "How much money are you personally planning to spend on your visit to the UK?" I don't expect my mother in law to spend any of her own money. What should I put in this field? It won't take a value of zero? For the sake of some background When I applie...

Re: Visit visa application for mother in law refused

The first time, we applied for a 6 month visa although it was likely that my mother in law would have only stayed for about 4 months. I put 6 months just in case. Given that the first application was refused. If I was to now apply asking for only 4 months is that likely to harm the application. One...

Re: Long Residence (10 years) and Refugee

Home Office has the powers to revoke your citizenship too. However most refugees who travelled back home after becoming British have not faced issues so far but the risk will always be there. Future governments may take a stricter approach Oh ok. Can I use my national passport after ILR to travel t...

Re: Visit Visa from Pakistan to UK

Who will tell in the visa application that property is shared with other non related adults, where they suppose to stay during the visit. If the application form asks about the other tenants then it should be replied honestly as HO can easily cross check them simply through electoral register. Peop...
