Re: Check the status of your application online - New service

Oh it's a shame. They need more transparency in HO for sure.

Can admins please update the first post to reflect the fact it's not there anymore?

Proof of residency for EU citizen

Hello, I've seen NCS two days ago, and I was told that my university enrolment confirmation letter and award confirmation, with all stamps and signatures, is not a proof I was physically present in the country. As this is a requirement, I need to find another way to prove that I have been present in...

Good character - check for criminal conviction?

Hello, There's a bit of unnecessarily about my wife's situation as she's been prosecuted for the tube fare dodging in January 2013 but the request to ACRO (Criminal Records Office) states no records are held against her file. What's interesting is that there is a court record of her offence, she ple...

Student sickness insurance and registration certificate

Hello, I've heard that those people who apply after coming to the UK, studying and then working do not need their period of study covered with a sickness insurance, given they applied for a registration certificate with Home Office in the past. I vaguely remember though that only certificates issued...

Re: EEA(PR) - Medical insurance during studies

Unfortunately I do not have a registration certificate. Can I still apply as a student but stating that my part-time waiter job back in those days means I paid NI contributions. And even though I stopped working a year before the insurance expired, those contributions could cover those 2 months gap?...

Re: EEA(PR) - Medical insurance during studies

Thank you for the reply. I am sorry, but what is RC? I did work part-time on various jobs until around February 2012. I obviously was not earning a lot though. This means I did pay NI contributions, but a year before my insurance expired. I am not sure how to get any proof of my employment there or ...

EEA(PR) - Medical insurance during studies

Hello, I am trying to get my PR. I am from Estonia, and in September 2008 I came to the UK to begin my studies. I graduated 25/01/2013 and got my first job on 04/03/2013. I have recently requested E104 form from Estonian Health Service. They give EHIC card on year-to-year basis, so every year I had ...

Re: A big list of question regarding the AN form

I've just edited my last post, I have been too slow to submit the application and now it says clearly that I will have to wait for another year.
Thank you for the response, you have just saved me £1000 of application fees. I will apply for PR now instead of the citizenship

Re: A big list of question regarding the AN form

Thank you for the reply! I did read the booklet, unfortunately I either missed this information or it was not specific enough. I will read it once again, to be sure. 1. I do not have this document. A lawyer from my company (who frankly does not specialise in immigration law), advisor in Home Office ...

Credit card debt and bad credit history when applying

Hello, I recently read that as part of Good Character they check the applicants debts and financial history. I could not find any figures on the net so I decided to ask here, and hopefully this will help not only me but others as well. So, my current state of things is: - I have £2900 debt in credit...

Thank you very much for the reply. I sure need to apply for naturalisation, I was just under the impression that applying for the passport and naturalisation are essentially the same thing. Sorry for the confusion. The problem with PR is that I need to have held it for 12 month prior to the naturali...

Applying for passport without PR but 6.5 years stay in UK

Hello, I have been living in the UK for 6.5 years, since 2008. From 2008 to 2013 I was studying in the university and was covered by the Estonian health insurance valid throughout Europe. Since 2013 till today I am in full time employment paying NHS contributions. It feels like I completely meet the...
