Re: Lost supporting document for British Passport

Yes, I have contacted them both: DX says the delivery is tagged as "Signed", but they weren't able to provide a copy of the signature or a timestamp. Passport office says that they haven't got the documents, they were sent last week, and they haven't received them back either. I would like to get in ...

Re: Lost supporting document for British Passport

Thank you for your reply.

to be honest, there were several inconsistencies with his story: he said that he found the envelope on the floor when he came home, but there is no chance of the envelope passing through that letter box without being bent.
In your opinion, should I go to the police?

Lost supporting document for British Passport

Hello, as title states, DX misdelivered my supporting documents and they are lost. I know there are other threads on the site about this, but I do have a question: the person they have delivered to claim that there wasn't my address on the envelope, he said there was no addressee at all. He then ...

Re: EEA national, in UK for over 8 years: PR needed or not?

As an EEA national, time & absences ( & any impact on exercising treaty rights ) are calculated based on the anniversary of your entry into UK (not on calendar years). Absence dates

Hello, hope this finds you well. I need your help to understand if I can or cannot apply for British citizenship. My main concern are my absence dates. I entered UK on 26/09/2006. In 2011 I have decided to travel and I did the below: 19/08/2011 - 30/08/2011: (10 days) left my job and stayed in ...

Re: Took time off to travel, do I qualify as self sufficient

Hello, thank you for your reply. I wasn't away for 6 months solid: I left of 24th August, came back on 27th Sept, left again on the 28th. I came back again on 31/01 for 7 days and then back on 28/02. The total of days away is less than 180. Do you think this might be a problem?

Took time off to travel, do I qualify as self sufficient

Hello, thank you for giving some time. I am EEA national, residing in UK since Sept 2006. In September 2011 I left the country to travel ans came back permanently in March 2012, but I stayed in London 4 days in February. I didn't have a job and I wasn't claiming any benefits for the whole period: do ...

Re: EEA national, in UK for over 8 years: PR needed or not?

Apologies, I have realised I have worded myself very badly. In the past 8 years I have never claimed any benefits, I have always worked. The only period I didn't work was between Aug 2011 and Feb 2012, but I was out of the country travelling. Would the fact that I was out of the country for 6 months ...

Re: EEA national, in UK for over 8 years: PR needed or not?

Hello again,

thank you for your reply: I have worked no stops, but for six months (August 2011 - February 2012) when I was abroad travelling. I didn't get any benefits. Would that be a problem?

EEA national, in UK for over 8 years: PR needed or not?

Hello, I would like to apply for citizenship, but some points are rather unclear: I have been living in the UK for 8 years, I can prove my residency thanks to the complete collections of my payslips. Do I need to request a PR and wait for 1 year? The website (https://www.gov.uk/becoming-a-british ...
