Re: Premium service refund/mistaken date

Thanks for your promt response.

Then it will be a whole new application/IHS etc.
I guess I can send the application, and pay for these again.

I guess this will teach me a lesson to pay attention to dates before I rush. And I will have to wait for the refund, for whenever it is done.

Premium service refund/mistaken date

Hello there, I was planning to use the Premium service in Croydon, to renew my FLR(M). I paid for the IHS, the application and appointment fee. But when I was completing my application, I realised that it takes place until 20 days after my current visa expires. So I cancelled the appointment, becaus...

Re: Premium Service failed appointment for FLR(M) & IHS fee

Update: The site allowed me to continue with the booking after 12 hours, so I am waiting now for the appointment.

As I had started another booking, but didn't pay twice, so I guess I'll just forget about that second booking and let it be taken down, on time.

Premium Service failed appointment for FLR(M) & IHS fee paid

Hello there, Previously I asked about some details regarding my Fiancée visa, and now, as I am trying to apply for a FLR(M) one, some questions have arisen, and I would appreciate any help that anyone with more experience could provide: Me and my now Husband got married yesterday, and now we are try...

Re: Overstayed in Switzerland, please someone advice

I am sorry, it was a dumb post/thing to ask. Of course lies won't take me anywhere, I just worry so much about mistaking, that I stop thinking right. Perhaps I should just leave the duration space blank, and if they have doubts, they can contact me or my sponsor to enquire, if they like. Thank you f...

Re: Overstayed in Switzerland, please someone advice

And if I 'lose' one of my passports?

I wonder if they have a way of knowing one's going out and ins, if for example I tell them that I lost one of my passports, if at the airports sometimes the Officers just don't put stamps on them.

Overstayed in Switzerland, please someone advice

As I am filling the application for a new visa, a specific detail haunts/worries me to no end. I am willing to apply for a Fiancé/e visa for the UK, but there is a detail from my past, that I don't know if to bring up in my application, in the section where it asks about any trips made out of my hom...

Re: Fiancé/e vs Marriage Visitor Visa

I have another doubt, please forgive me if I ask too many questions. For the Marriage Visitor Visa type, it is suggested that one presents a notification of marriage at the register office https://www.gov.uk/marriage-visa/documents-you-must-provide, but I don't know if we can do it, because here it ...

Re: Fiancé/e vs Marriage Visitor Visa

Yes, I was counting on those steps for settlement, first applying for a Fiancé/e visa first, then, if granted, to change for a Spouse visa. But then again, he might be sent to another place, and perhaps we might need to apply for a totally different type (Marriage Visitor Visa), he isn't sure yet, t...

Fiancé/e vs Marriage Visitor Visa

Hello, I apologize if the situation that I intend to describe has been resolved in another thread before, I just haven't been able to find any posts that relate with some specific details. I would like to ask which would be the best option to apply for * Fiancé/e Visa: https://www.gov.uk/join-family...

Re: Fiancé visa

I am so sorry if I am asking too many questions and perhaps stealing time from you, but I have nobody else I can trust to ask, and I would like to do things right. In order to make clear or to state that one is free to marry (neither me nor my boyfriend have been married before), they ask for a Cert...

Re: Fiancé visa

Ok, then we might not need the birth certificates, just the passports.
But how do I get a "certified copy of my sponsor's passport"? Who needs to see it or put a seal on it? Won't a scanned/photo copy suffice?

Thank you very much for your clarifying replies.

Re: Fiancé visa

Well, as I have been searching and reading several sites, they suggest birth certificates, just in case passports aren't available (and I would not like to take his passport, just in case he has to be sent abroad because of his job, while I wait for a reply from the UK Government), and he is British...

Re: Fiancé visa

Hello again, As I am starting to organize the documents that we might need, in order to apply for a Fiancé(e) visa, I would like to ask if we need our birth certificates to be recent (e. g. my boyfriend has an original copy of his, but from 2010, and I have -an apostilled one- from 2008), but I don'...

Re: Fiancé visa

Alright, thank you very much for all the information.

Now I have some links to check thoroughly, and to show my boyfriend, so we can decide on what to do.

Thank you for your time and help.

Best regards.

Re: Fiancé visa

I am just so nervous, that I wouldn't like to make a mistake that would later affect us.

Yes, they say that it is legal and easier to do in Denmark, but what if the English Government doesn't recognize it and ban me, and all because we thought we were being smart?

Re: Fiancé visa

Or, I don't know ... What does "the marriage will be treated as a marriage for the purpose of the ‘spouse’ paragraphs of the Rules"? So yes, basically we are doing this so we can remain together, none of us have ever been married nor have children (checking the Denmark link) and we would just go and...

Re: Fiancé visa

Thank you very much for the links, I guess its what I was failing to find as responses to technicalities.

Then, to my understanding, it is not advisable, right?

Re: Fiancé visa

Yes, I asked at the Consulate from my home country and also at the Home Office, it's ok, I can go and apply for it, but then somebody told my boyfriend about getting married in Denmark, then I contacted the agencies and they say that there is no problem, but I simply wouldn't like to mistake or dama...

Re: Fiancé visa

No, I can't do that with a tourist/visitor visa, so my question is if we can get married in Denmark, then I go back home and then apply for a Spouse visa from there.

Is getting married in Denmark a good idea?

Hello there, I would like to ask, if anybody here knows, if it is a good (or valid) idea, getting married in Denmark, and later on be able to apply for a Spouse visa for the UK. Here is a little background about my specific situation: http://www.immigrationboards.com/immigration-for-family-members/f...

Re: Fiancé visa

Thank you very much, for your replies. I am sure there are a lot of people with similar questions, and at the same time we mis-inform each other, if we don't ask to people who deal with or know more about these processes, especially if the laws are always changing. My boyfriend has asked me if I can...
