Re: So what are the steps for an app under Surinder Singh?

Its a multi-step process, whether or not OP spelled it out: FP RC PRC etc Yes, understood. I'm a Brit living in Germany with my dependent parents who hold 5 year German RC. My contract is coming to an end here in Germany and I have new work secured in UK. Can I take my parents with me without a FP ...

Re: So what are the steps for an app under Surinder Singh?

Hi everyone, I am a little confused here, it seemed adinaedri applied for a family permit but then how did you manage to get RC? or am I missing something here? I am about to apply for a FP using SS for my parents too. So just wondering, would we have to answer the questions like you mentioned "the ...

Re: NEW EEA Regulation that violates EU law coming into eff

d) It also states that one factor regarding testing genuineness of applicability of the Regulation is whether the direct family member's first residence with the SS sponsor in the EU has been in the EEA state that the SS sponsor is exercising treaty rights in. Hi there, I do not understand this poi...

Re: Surinder Singh via Germany

Hi, One more important thing. I am paying a very high health insurance and taxes obviously due to my freelance set up and how much I earn. Can we claim child benefit in Germany? I think I will have to restrict my working hours to 30 hrs per week if I was to be eligible for that but I heard the child...

Re: Surinder Singh via Germany

Do we have any update? I am trying to do this route now. I setup the limited (GMBH) company in Germany. And now I am going to start trading from August. So please can you confirm if there are any change in rules? Would you not have been better setting up as a Freiberufler? I agree with Wanderer. I ...

Re: Type C visa for German RC

Hi. My application is only going in next week. The people were really helpful and friendly though. They said it should take a month if all the paperwork is in order. It helped a lot that we had my sister in-law with us who speaks German. It really isn't as complicated as some people make it out to ...

Re: Surinder Singh via Germany

90 day contract? What kind of websites are you looking at? I just googled it and yes you are right these are all furnished and very expensive. Re: Surinder Singh via Germany

On the other hand, have you researched what Brexit might mean for your plan or what Camerons 'deal' with the EU might mean for you in case the UK stays in the EU? This is what I found in Gov document. It also goes into details of how Govt is planning to implement these reforms. read more hear ... h...

Re: Surinder Singh via Germany

Someone threw a spanner in the plan earlier. The woman on the other side replied NO and they have to go back to home ...

Re: Surinder Singh via Germany

Talking to a German immigration lawyer is a good idea. Just make sure they know that you are dealing with EU and not domestic immigration law. It's quite different. I have an appointment with the Lawyer next week but she has answered the main question I asked that YES we can apply for RC whilst in ...

Re: Surinder Singh via Germany

Have you researched where most of the jobs are for your specific expertise? Have you researched where in Germany you will go at all? I have an uncle in Dussledorf so i was hoping that if I get a flat/house for 5 near him for the first 3 months then it would give me a chance to look for work. When I...

Re: Surinder Singh via Germany

Thanks Noajthan, My comments might have depicted this picture but this was not the scenario I had in mind :) I will definitely be looking to make genuine transactions which would produce invoices etc to support where the money has come from. Re: Surinder Singh via Germany

Setting up a company with enough resources to pay your own salary does not sound like any type of self-employment that will pass the genuine and effective test (and not be marginal/supplementary ). True .. in that scenario I will be employee of my own company. This is how I have been running my own...

Spot on ALKB, yes my parents were given visa free of charge and arrived within 15 days. Do you know how much is the German social security x 5 year would come upto? Re: Surinder Singh via Germany

Hi Casa, yes I read the response but does it actually mean? If they keep the RC application for 90 days and within that time the Schengen visa expires does that make my parents overstayed ? Theoretically the condition for living in host state is 'work, self employed, student or self sufficient' or h...

Re: Surinder Singh via Germany

But my question remains unanswered i.e. Are we able to apply for Residence permit if the Schengen Visa type issued is 'Tourist Visa'...

EEA2 Surinder Singh - Sweden

Good question. Parents are a critical piece of the jigsaw. And there has been a remarkable silence on the situation for dependent & minor children too. Frankly at this state of play, with all bets seemingly off, I do not know. And I just seem to get DC's voicemail at the moment, he must be busy :wi...

Re: EEA2 Surinder Singh 3 Month Success Story

@Mak35, if Ireland doesn't float your boat you could think about looking at somewhere like Malta. Why not shoot for Malta: good climate; seasonal tourist industry; gaming/IT sector; English-speaking/Anglophile country Hi Noajthan, Thanks for your reply. Malta is a good suggestion and as you said th...
