Re: How to get a credit card in UK? do I even need one?

You can open a Transferwise Borderless Account (or whatever it's called nowadays) and you'll get a Mastercard debit card in as many currencies as you need, including GBP.

EDIT: It's now called "WISE multi-currency account" but it's the same thing as above.

Re: Problem to apply for Universal Credit

1) what is your nationality?

2) Have you tried explaining to your work coach that your ILR was not achieved under the EU settlement scheme?

3) Have you put a note on your journal asking your WC the chance to upload a scan of your document proving ILR?

Re: Why do EU Citizens have more right in the UK, than British Citizen

When an EU citizen comes to UK for settlement he can call his family over, or close relatives, for a very low fee, I don't know exact maybe £70 to £150 for the application, and doesn't have to show much of a salary/income and they can claim benefits straight away, why are they allowed to claim univ...

Re: Want to get British citizenship. Have Settled Status but not Permanent Resident. Help?

Awesome! Thanks for clarifying so quickly. I've always had a Spanish EHIC card since I moved to the UK, sadly it expired and my only 'proof' is the current one that I have, but it's from the UK. Would that be an issue? Thanks! C It doesn't matter. If you have been in employment since 2013, it's mor...

Pre-Settled status is just placebo. Just wait until you can prove 5 years and then make a new application for full status.

Re: EEA Pre-Settled Scheme

Pre-settled status has nothing to do with your previous applications and 5 year history. These are the requirements for non-eu ctizens:

If you can satisfy these requirements you can apply, otherwise you can't.

If you were convicted, irrespective of how long it was, you would need to declare this in your application.
Not if this doesn't show up on the PNC.
Does that mean if it does not show up on the certificate I do not need to mention it?
That's exactly what I said.

How long can a Settled Status holder be away from the UK and heep their status?

If one is granted EU Settled Status, How long can they absent from the UK? Is it 2 or 5 years? I seem to remember that it would have been 5 years if Parliament had approved the W.A., which, as we all know, hasn't happened yet. Re: EU SETTLEMENT: 200,420 applications in 68 days but 0 Refusal

"0 applications were refused status under the scheme" This is misleading. If you are refused full settled status, you'll be offered pre-settled status, which is pretty much placebo. I personally know of applicants who have lived in UK for 40 years but have only been given pre-settled status.

It's free to do a SAR at Acro online. You get results in a few days. If it doesn't show up on the SAR, you don't need to declare it, regardless of what comes out of a DBS. Period.

What happened to the "DCPR processing time" thread?

There used to be a "DCPR processing time" thread in the EEA forum. I can't find it in the search box; the only one still active is about the PR card for non-EU citizens. Has it been silently nuked? I've noticed the EEA forum has gone downhill since a new moderator started messing about wit...
