Markie is correct, if you withdraw the passport for the purpose of travel you are withdrawing the case and will lose the fee.

If the Tier 1 (General) application is still under consideration you can ask for the application to be 'varied' into a regular FLR(IED) application. Just send it to the PO Box, Royal Mail don't just leave it in the box, someone will sign for it (or sign for everything Royal Mail have delivered in one go).

You only need to use the courier address if you're using a courier.
