Re: SET(M) advice please - application date and necessary to send passport?

Thanks Char. That's definitely a consideration.

I've checked the .gov website and it seems my wife can't do the priority service. Is this true? Have they stopped doing this for SET(M) during Covid-19?

Thanks

Re: SET(M) advice please - application date and necessary to send passport?

Thank you so much!

Yes, incidentally she actually just did both the Life in the UK and English tests in the last 2 weeks.

I was going to do the application in April, but this changes things. I'll collate the documents and do the application much sooner.

Re: SET(M) advice please - application date and necessary to send passport?

Hi CR001, Ah, apologies. I actually meant 12 February 2016 . That's the day she entered the UK, and the BRP visa expiry date is 3 May 2021. Oh, so she can apply from within 28 days of the entry date period (e.g. 15 January 2021), and until the visa expiry date. Is this correct? And thanks, for confi...

SET(M) advice please - application date and necessary to send passport?

Hi all, You amazing people helped me put through the initial spouse visa 5 years ago and then the FLR(M) 2.5 years ago without a hitch. I now have to do the SET(M) for my wife and had read some confusing information on some websites. What is the earliest I can apply for the SET(M)? My wife came to t...

Re: Name changed after IELTS test

It should be fine. My wife did the IELTS Academic in March 2015 (before the rules changed in April 2015) thinking that she would like to study in the UK. We got married in August 2015 and I used that same IELTS for her application in October 2015, even though she had changed her NIC and Passport nam...

Re: Financial requirement Basic + commission

What's your gross pay each month?

It needs to be at least £1550, otherwise you won't be earning above the required amount.

I emailed them on Monday for a status update and they said that the "application has been processed and that the documents should be with you in the next few days".

Not heard anything yet though.

Re: Maiden name on English certificate (IELTS)

Insha'Allah it'll be alright.

I did read the guidance and they said that they match the details and results from the certificate from the name, DOB and passport number. I've provided all of these details so there really shouldn't be a problem.

Maiden name on English certificate (IELTS)

Hi everyone I had a query I was hoping someone could help me with. What happens if the English certificate is in the maiden name but the visa application is in the married name? She did her test in March 2015, prior to marriage. My wife changed her name after marriage and her new passport reflects t...

Re: Rejected for Spouse Visa! NatWest bank statements!

I think I should add my experience with getting Lloyds Bank to give me certified bank statements. The first day I went into my local branch, I explained my situation to the lady on the front desk and she told me outright that they don't certify or even STAMP anything. She said that UKVI should accep...
