Tier 4 Eligibility for ILR 10 year route

Confirming something for my spouse. He's due to apply under the ILR 10 year route end of this year. He entered in September 2012 under Tier 4 and was on Tier 4 till December 2016 when he switched to Tier 2 then was on Tier 2 till January 2020 when he switched to Family Visa Leave to Remain. Can I co...

Re: Spouse Partner Leave to Remain Extension

I'd just like to confirm the following please: CAN we apply for spouse visa extension as early as we want to? Can we do it now for example, instead of waiting till 28 days before his current visa expires? Yes. There’s no time restriction when extending for limited leave . But they are normally avoi...

Re: Spouse Partner Leave to Remain Extension

Did you arrive on a spouse visa granted from abroad for 33 months or applied within UK from another category? You can apply for ILR 28 days before completing 60 months in the UK if your leave has been consistent under the 5 years route. No, my spouse's situation is different, he was on Tier 4 then ...

Re: Spouse Partner Leave to Remain Extension

That's an interesting way to think about it.

And to confirm, we CAN apply for extension as early as we want to, correct? We can do it now for example, we don't need to wait till 28 days before his current visa expires.

Spouse Partner Leave to Remain Extension

How early can my spouse apply to extend his Spouse Partner Leave to Remain visa? We thought it was 28 days before expiry but we just read this sentence today on gov.uk and wanted to confirm that we can extend it as early as we'd like: "You can extend at any time before your current permission to sta...

Re: Passport Scanned Copy

The UKVCAS IDV App doesn't allow you to post more than 1 page from the passport. It has some sort of rectangle and you need to fit the page with the photo in there. However, when you upload your documents, you can upload a PDF with all stamped pages of the passport. Thanks for your reply. This is r...

Passport Scanned Copy

Hey all, is it possible to get a rejection due to uploading the front page of the passport only? Unfortunately, due to the change in the system from biometric centre to app, I only uploaded the passport front page and not the passport in full. All my other documentation was uploaded correctly. If it...

Re: Returning to old sponsor after 1 year

Hey srsw,

Yes, they did the required RMLT and I was interviewed twice for the new role.
Does HO have a reason to reject sponsorship purely to the fact that I previously worked for the same company?

Thanks.

Re: Worried about switching to a new Tier 2 Sponsor

Yup, don't worry. I got a Tier 2 visa rejected trying to switch my job before, it feels really scary because of the way they 'word' the rejection documents, but its fine. I continued working with my original sponsor as normal, and they returned all my documents to me.

Switching Tier 4 to Tier 2 Dependent

Hey, I'm on a Tier 2 General visa - valid for another 2.5 years. My partner is currently on Tier 4 visa and we were hoping he can switch to Tier 2 General but he's struggling to find a sponsor. His visa expires end of January 2017 (in 2 months). We're thinking the best option now is to switch his vi...

COS before April, Application after April

Hey guys, Just a quick question, I'm about to apply for a Tier 2 Change of Employment visa. It's likely that my CoS will be issued before Apr 5 and my application will be after that. Is that a problem? Will my CoS still be valid for the entire new year? Will the old or new rules apply in that case? ...

Re: Immigration Health Surcharge Urgent Help

Hello,

Could you please provide update on your situation?

My application got refused on October 1st, I didn't do administrative review, and I still haven't received a refund.

Has anyone ever received an IHS refund? IF so, how long is the processing time?

Thank you,

IHS Refund Timeline

Hey everyone, My change of employment Tier 2 application got refused on October 1st, but my current Tier 2 visa is still valid until 2017 so I am staying on it and not changing sponsors. When will I receive the IHS refund? As I did not do admin review, it states that I should get the refund automati...

Re: Tier 2 Ext-n: Passport returned, Police reg. certificate

Hello, I currently have the same issue, my passport & BRP returned, but the police registration certificate hasn't. I have sent them by post requesting it but got no reply. What can I do? Should I take out a new one, it seems a shame that my police registration went missing and they won't even admit...

Re: Help! Refusal of Change of Employment Tier 2

Hey Manci, The reason for the refusal is that the company put me for a role that is NQF 4, instead of NQF 6 or above...even though its a technical IT role that they can pick an SOC for in NQF 6 or above...but they picked a wrong SOC in an NQF 4 role. Hence, my sponsorship points were a 0 out of 30. ...

Re: Help! Refusal of Change of Employment Tier 2

Thanks Manci for your reply. So, this enrollment warning that came with it was probably just generic, in the case that I don't have another 'legal basis' to stay. But in this case, do I need to call anyone to make sure I still have entry clearance or so on? Also, they haven't returned my police regi...

Help! Refusal of Change of Employment Tier 2

Hello, I applied for Tier 2 change of employment (new sponsor) on August 5th, just received the refusal letter. I have no interest in making administrative review as I don't think it will amount to much. My question is, I still have my current job which gave me a leave to remain until June 2017, I d...
