Re: New citizenship form UKF

FINALLY. Received a letter today via regular US Mail, that my application has been accepted and I should expect to get a letter inviting me to the ceremony within 12 weeks. While my application was via UKM (not UKF) I posted on this thread a while back since I think US-based folks with both forms ha...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

For other USA applicants who opted to go to Canada for biometrics (mbiano21, NJprofessor, bfrenchfry I think)... They are still issuing biometric delay notices and now are not reporting an anticipated timeline for resolution or to "report back." :| And nothing new for me at all, except I emailed Na...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

Well, I feel almost guilty given how long a few others have had to wait, but I received the letter of 'successful application' today. It took (for timeline purposes) almost 20 weeks, or a little short of 5 calendar months. They returned a couple more of my docs with it, but still forgot one. So, I'...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

Great! Thanks. That's kinda what I figured... So, fret not, NJProfessor. As I was saying in one of my last posts, it seems like Home Office is starting to move through things in a more orderly fashion. People in the UK tend to go through quicker regardless, but some of the other acceptances lately ...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

Well, I haven't gotten on here for nearly two months because nothing has happened. Did biometrics in Toronto (I am USA based) in mid-December and have heard exactly nothing since then. So now at 10 months (mailed off UKM on April 8, 2015.) Oh well.

Re: New citizenship form UKF

Completed Biometrics today! I think bfrenchfry was indeed a trail blazer at the Toronto office, because they didn't seem confused at all. I was worried they'd get stuck on wanting a visa checklist, but as soon as they saw the UKF letter, they promptly took it (along with my passport), and went into...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

I say thanks as well, bfrenchfry. You've been really helpful! And canabrit, I have my biometrics appointment this Tuesday also; my application is using UKM (Child of a British mother.) I put "Overseas citizenship" in the online form as well. We'll see how it goes. Good stuff, Thanks for the update, ...

Update on my UKM application

As with others in the U.S., I have been getting very sporadic communication about the fact that it remains impossible to do the biometrics in the U.S. My story is more frustrating than just that, but at least after many months of nothing, I did get such a letter a few months ago. But then nothing at...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

After I got my letter saying I wouldn't hear until December, I got another one in the mail saying they didn't expect biometrics centers to be in the US until next year and they'd contact me with a status update in January. If my case was urgent I could contact NationalityBiometricsOverseas@homeoffi...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

Antsmall, Finally got back on and replied to your reply on my post in the April application timeline forum: http://www.immigrationboards.com/british-citizenship/april-2015-naturalization-application-timeline-only-t183782-1700.html Bottom line, nothing new. Got the biometrics not available yet in USA...

Re: April 2015 Naturalization application Timeline ONLY

Sorry to never have replied! After posting this, I simply put it to the back of my mind since there seems nothing I can do. In any case, here we are Dec 2, and I have heard nothing new at all. The letter I referenced said they would try to let me know something by Dec 25. We'll see... Greetings! I'd...

Re: April 2015 Naturalization application Timeline ONLY

I have been watching this on and off since I found it last May or June. My story is pretty frustrating, but thought it might be useful. Applied from the US using Form UKM - child of a British mother; I was born in 1958 in the US. The paperwork was received April 8, according to the post office track...
