Re: Overstay and ILR (Set M)

Thank you Cullinan for the quick reply, that's great. Not sure if he will apply for citizenship, so no problem to wait for that.

Overstay and ILR (Set M)

Hi all, I have previously posted this question and kindly had it answered. I just want to check that nothing has changed in 5 years with regards to overstaying and ILR. https://www.immigrationboards.com/indefinite-leave-to-remain/overstay-and-ilr-t217486.html#p1405850 My husband overstayed his visit...

Re: Spousal visa with dependent child staying in the US. Letter from parent.

Have you started the online application? The questions are answered with a series of tick boxes and space to add further relevant information. I had to include my daughters birth certificate, even though she was not included in the application and is British from birth. It seems to be a one size fit...

Re: Flrm. can i go for appointment after visa expiry

You have to send the application and pay the IHS and visa fees before her visa runs out. You can attend the biometric after the visa expiry date.

Re: Upload or post documents FLR(M)

Can anyone tell me if it's ok to scan and upload all our documents to the PC first and save them in a folder or do they need to be scanned directly to the website after sending the online application? Thanks.

Re: Assistance with Spouse visa extension

Yes, the online application form asks for the detail of previous marriages and requires any divorce certificates to be included with supporting documents.

Re: FLR M extension

We married in May 2016 in New Zealand, I left New Zealand in June 2016 and we applied for hubby's visa shortly after. Visa was granted in Aug 2016 and hubby flew to Uk in Sept 2016. We lived apart June 2016 - Sept 2016 while we were waiting for the visa to be approved. We have selected "No" and deta...

Re: FLR(M) supporting documents

Thanks for the reply md3, I completely agree with you, it's designed to cause stress and confusion, especially the part regarding children. My kids are British and two are over 20, they don't live at home so why on earth would HO need their birth certs or passport numbers? Purely an exercise in frus...

Re: FLR(M) supporting documents

Thanks for the reply Incy, it's reassuring to know we are not imbeciles  It's a dreadful form, we found if you save it and go back in to edit an answer, the question is different to the one you click into on the summary. It asked about my husband's partner's (me) previous marriages, we clicked ...

Re: Fiance Visa. Please Help. Thanks!

1. Your P60 for the year 2016-2017 will be enough. 4. For example, if your payslips are for the months Jan, Feb, March, April, May & June then you must submit the bank statement that shows those wages going into your account. You can print online copies and ask the bank to stamp them. This is fine. ...

Re: Fiance Visa. Please Help. Thanks!

1. P60 can be included but I dont think it is necessary as you will provide wage slips. To the best of my knowledge an Annual Tax summary is for someone who is self-employed. 2. 6 months payslips mandatory - the most recent should be dated within last 28 days. 3. Employer letter sounds good. Include...

Re: Fiance Visa. Please Help. Thanks!

You will be unable to rely on your wife's income when you apply for FLR(M) either, as she will be unable to work legally in the UK until her FLR(M) visa has been granted. Joint income will only be considered when your wife submits her application for her next FLR(M) extension once she has completed...

Thanks very much for your reply. I have some comments as below. 2. Fiance Visa, we found this visa should apply as ‘Family visas: apply to live in the UK’ https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa/overview . Am I correct? Do we look at the correct visa application to be apply for? Is the above information ...

Re: Better to marry abroad, or in the UK?

Are you a British citizen? If so it is up to you which option you choose, the fiance visa allows your partner to enter UK and gives you 6 months to get married before applying for FLR(M). This option means paying 2 visa fees + 1 NHS surcharge and partner can not work until FLR(M) is decided. If you ...
