If you don't, then you can show the EEA Family Permit and COA I believe would be sufficient.

Hi, The HO wont be neccessarily sending any confirmation letter to you until a letter for taking your Biometrics. A COA is issued automatically as an interim document whilst RC application is processed. One does not apply for a COA by itself. Once issued the RC will replace the COA.
