Advice on applying through a solicitor

Hi all, Is there any advantage in applying via a solicitor? Does the Home Office approach applications made by the applicant or by a representative in different ways at all? (I have been in touch with solicitors for advice on CSI issues and they have offered a service whereby they "legally represent ...

Re: EUSS BC application - CSI/Treaty rights case

I don't recommend arguing during the application but only if you are refused and apply for reconsideration. When you apply for reconsideration, you are given the option to put forward your arguments. For your EU citizenship, there are some countries such as Germany that don't accept or restrict ...

EUSS BC application - CSI/Treaty rights case

Dear all, Having read through much of the forum, I was wondering if I could share my case with you prior to application as I have not found anecdotes that quite relate to me. I am consulting with an immigration lawyer later in the week but have seen that there is such a wealth of knowledge here that ...

Re: A bit confused about what to apply for...

Fascinating story. What an adventure. Suggest get on the blower to parents to see if their health cover policy also covered you as a student in a foreign land. A RC is a residence card/certificate. As an EEA national you could have applied for one (but didn't have to). It simply confirms your ...

Re: A bit confused about what to apply for...

As a student did you/do you hold a foreign-issued EHIC? Or a RC issued to you as a student in/before 2011? Any foreign health cover held by kindly parents that may also cover you even so far from home? Yes, as explained, you need to be free from immigration time restrictions for 12 months (eg with ...

Re: A bit confused about what to apply for...

Hello, Thank you both for your help! I have been a student for these 6 years (although I did not know about CSI until I started researching this), but am going to start working in August - so was thinking of applying once I start work. Having spent 6 years in the UK, would I need to hold PR for 12 ...

A bit confused about what to apply for...

Hello, I am an EU citizen who has been living in the UK for 6 years. I have all documents to prove but seem to be going around in loops in the government website trying to find information. Should I apply for Permanent Residence or Indefinite Leave to Remain? When can I apply for British Citizenship ...

Re: CSI Requirement

unclear how provider could provide such a statement. As in, they could state they would have refunded any medical costs I incurred. I was wondering then, whether this CSI requirement would still apply for this period should I start working? I will begin to work in August. Would I then be able to ...

CSI Requirement

Hello all, I am applying for PR and have a question about the CSI requirement which I was wondering if anyone could help me with. I am a German and Brazilian national and have been studying uninterrupted in the UK since 2010. I have never obtained any official residency documents before deciding to ...
